From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy and golden amber to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is mild smoked and roasted malty.smoked, maty and ham. Bitter, toasted malty and meaty smoked finish.

Draught@Eschenbräu. Pours nutmeg brown reddish cloudy with big creamy head. Palate is medium full bodied , texture slick, watery with smokiness hitting in the aftertaste. On tap in the basement. Beautiful chestnut body. Nice smoke, definitely meaty, but not in the smoked pork way, more like a slimy Christmas ham. Soft carbonation, medium body, gentle smoke and roast in the mouth, very moreish. Low bitterness, a bit yeasty, unusual for the style, which is normally lagered like crazy. On tap at the brauhaus in mid-March. Pours a murky caramel color with a frothy beige head. Smells of pork and smoke -- FML. Tastes of toasted malt, black pepper, and PORK! One of the best beers I had while in Berlin.
