Lawger (275) - SWEDEN - APR 5, 2015
Pours a deep and dirty chestnut brown with small off-white head. Fridge cold aroma has a nice, nutty and sweet maltiness with some toffee notes. As it warms up the toffee and butterscotch-notes intensifies along with some resinous woodyness. Really very pleasant nose. Medium+ bodied palate. The sweetness is balanced and not at all over the top like I feared because of the addition of honey. Good, creamy mouthfeel, low bitterness and good finish. Will probably buy a few to cellar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Palate: Medium low carbonation, a soft texture. A good body with a slightly dry finish.

mjs (7413) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 28, 2014
(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 2023-08-16, at Ølhus Stockholm, Helsinki, 20140528) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had malts, molasses, mildly vineousness and some chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, sugary sweetness, alcohol, chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, boozy and bitter. At its current condition the beer was too sweet and also harsh. Aging might help.
