At SMÖF 2010. Black beer with a beige head. Chocolate aroma, cocoa, roasted, milky notes. Cocoa flavor, coffee and chocolate, quite bitter and pleasant. olsvammel (7274) - Örebro, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2010
It poured a pitch black liquid with medium sized light brown head that left a thin lacing on the side of the glass.
Chocolate, dark bread, nuts
Dark bitter chocolate, dark bread, coffee, burned toast
Semi-harsh, dry, thick body.
A nice porter that was fantastic with a piece of chocolate. Despite it’s low ABV it still packs a punch and was allot more intense then I expected. It’s the kind of beer you lean back and sip at rather then pour down by the pint.
However what I don’t understand is why it’s called starkporter (strong porter) when it is sitting at 6,2%? mugabe (258) - SWEDEN - APR 11, 2010
Bottle. Black ruby, thin head. Burnt chocolate aroma. Light mouthfeel. Piney bitter hops in the finish ease up the brew. Good, but a bit weak. Could do with some more alcohol. omhper (25544) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 6, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Really black, small beige head. Roasty tar with slight grapefruity in the nose. Dry, dense and somewhat spritzy with clean and rather hard mouthfeel. Licorice and tar dominates, but as it warms and the carbonation wears off a softer side with more chocolate shows up. Finishes with salty, resiny bitterness.
