In 2011, 796 beers were entered for the Brewing Industry International Awards 2011, which were held in England. A renowned jury, consisting of experts from the brewing world, awarded ESTAMINET Premium Pils the highest score in the ‘Lager’ category. This gold medal, which is seen as an ‘Oscar’ within the beer world, is an important recognition and victory for PALM Breweries. The awards and medals will be presented during a gala event on 12 April at the prestigious Guildhall in London. ESTAMINET owes its premium quality (5.2% vol/alc) to the selection of the best natural ingredients: soft water, 100% high quality summer barley, a distinctive yeast and very precious Saaz hops. Slow, traditional bottom fermentation, a brewing process based on an original recipe and maturation for a full six weeks make ESTAMINET a true Belgian Premium Pils.

FROM NOTES: October 21, ’13. A: Mostly grain notes with some floral notes and a hint of sulfur. A: Pours a clean yellow color with a white head. T: Like the nose this has a very smooth grainy taste initially with faint apple and white grape flavors. Has a bit of a funk to it but finishes with a spicy and sweet mix. P: Light bodied and extremely crisp on the palate. Tingly and bubbly. O: A decent pils AT BEST.

Very tasty pilsner: malts crisp and soft with noticable hops. My favorite belgian pilsner.

Helder goud met een kleine witte kraag. Moutig, gist. Licht bitterzoet. Vlak. Lekker voor een pils, maar wel gewoon pils.

I drank it few months ago, I just copy my rate from other site. Nothing special

Escasa en aroma. Agradable nota cítrica en boca. Tiene una gran bebestibilidad y no resulta cargante en absoluto, aunque es un poco plana.

JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - JAN 30, 2017
Golden color with a diminished white head. Pale malt and minty scent. Light sweet malt start, that is quickly diverted by a sharp bitterness. Sweetness slowly works its way back. Fairly thick for a pils. Easily drinkable. 9/12

Bottles and Taps. This is one of the pilsners I drank in my ’staminee’ on friday and Saturdaynights. Aroma of grain, a bit citrus even, wet grass. Poured yellowblond with a perfect pilshead. Yet drank this often from the bottle. Taste is pils, grainy, malt, bread. Light mouthfeel, grainy bitter finish.

Had the beer as Brabante Lager. A pity all the Brabante beers are just aliased beers. The beer looks like a good lager. The color of the beer is nice, slightly pale golden yellow. The beer is rather clear. On top a thick frothy layer of white foam is formed. The foam stays for some time, but collapses over time, leaving a thick soft drape. The smell is quite mild and just that of pilsener. Sweet, slightly bready malts and bitter fruity hop aromas. Its in good balance. The taste is better. It is a bit stronger than the smell. It’s the same though. Sweet malts and bitter hops. quite tasty and nicely balanced. I’m not disappointed. The palate is norma. Light body, medium high carbonation, short but flavourful finish. All in all a simple but good beer. I would drink more of it, if it was possible.

Draught at Café De Engelbewaarder. Clear golden with a small white soapy head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Metallic bitterness with subtle sweet tones. Malts, grass and grain. Boring pils.
