Bottle at the Artisan Tap, Bedford. Gold with a decent loose white head. Smells of gluey porridge, malt and cardboard. Taste is sweet with a massive gluey aftertaste. Not great but not bad by any means, especially taking into account the fact this is gluten-free. A bit unexciting but certainly drinkable and as good as many lagers if not better.

Couleur dorée, légère mousse qui disparait. Nez leger houblonné. Gout houblonné, leger noisettes, pain avec fin malt d’orge. Bon corps. Petite amertume en fin de bouche. Pas trop mal pour une lager

Bottle from an Albert Heijn supermarket. Gluten free version of Estrella Damm, with moussy, snow white, medium sized head with moderate retention, over a cristal clear, pure golden blonde beer with vivid fizz. Aroma of cereals, damp cloth, freshly cut grass, white bread dough, soaked corn, hints of iron, wet cardboard, burnt plastic, raw celery, sweaty abbey cheese. Fairly neutral onset, no esters, turning moderately cereal sweetish with light, notably oily, smooth mouthfeel and minerally, quite strong carbonation; bit metallic as well. A more sourish graininess sits underneath, but the sweetishness prevails, though it gets accompanied by a grassy, lightly drying hop bitterishness in the end, more so than average in a standard pale lager. Scientifically speaking it is difficult to prove that any beer does not contain any gluten at all, but I get the intention here; more importantly perhaps, is that within the monotonous ocean of bland pale lagers, this one does stand out a bit and seems more interesting flavour-wise than e.g. the regular Estrella Damm. But it remains, in all, another bland pale lager, of course, with a strongly industrial (and even slightly chemical) feel to it.

Crystal clear golden, with nice big white head. Good retention. Light to medium carbonation, light to medium body. Texture is watery to oily. Aroma is roasted grain, rice and corn. Almost no hops. Taste is lightly sweet to lower bitterness. Aftertaste is long and malty. For gluten free beer is a nice beer.

Dit bier heeft een moutachtige en redelijk sterke geur, waarin ook gist te herkennen is. Smaak is idem dito: duidelijk hop aanwezig. Ook is er een honingtoon te ontdekken.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden beer with a thin white head on top. Aroma of malts, slightly cardboard and vanilla with some grassy notes. Flavor is sweet and bready, very malty and has a long, soft sweet finish. Low carbonation, decent lager actually.

330 ml. bottle. BBF 07/16. Clear golden, small, patchy industrial lager head. Nose is corn, hugely oily, vegetable & plain Doritos. Taste is oily, corn, corn chips, plastic, no bad notes, touch ice water, light dough. Body is mineral, touch iron, dough. Nothing bad & actually better than most pale lager, quite surprising. One of the best macro pale lagers I have ever had actually. I cannot imagine a better gluten free offering if you are into macro pale lagers, I prefer this one over the vast majority of pale lagers I have had. Best pale gluten free beers period, you need to look at Mikkeller & To Øl offerings.

330ml bottle, Tesco. Malty, grassy aroma. Flavour follows as expected - malty, similar to a Csech pilsner in some respects. Not at all bad, quite good actually.

Golden color, clear liquid and minimal head. Green, plants (bio) aroma. Taste is light and a bit bitter. Nice refreshing gluten free beer.

Klares goldgelb mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, etwas würzig, reichlich süß.
