This beer is the jewel in the crown of Damms century-long beer-brewing experience. Since 1876, when Alsatian August Kuentzmann Damm founded the company bearing his name, numerous generations of master brewers have perfected this lager until it has become a landmark in the world of beers.

This lager beer with a universally appreciated character and taste is ideal for drinking at any time.

Its high quality is due to the finest selection of raw materials and the meticulous brewing process. It stands out for its creamy hops-flavoured froth and refreshing taste.

Draft at Degustastion with Linh during my 27th birthday dinner. Served with a beautiful ten course meal. The beer was clearly overshadowed by the food, however it served as an appropriate palate cleanser between courses. Nice pale lager thats not offensive.

Birra industriale in tutte le sue caratteristiche. Naso assente a parte un lieve diacetile, in bocca insapore con amaro finale. corpo leggero e carbonazione spinta. Astringenza oltre i limiti

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is clear pale golden yellow with trace sparkle, ephemeral fizzy white head and no lacing. Aroma is European hops and cracker malts. Taste is weaker version of aroma. Palate is light bodied with slick texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty standard pale lager--light all around.

Bottle. Clear yellow with a decent head. Aroma and taste of corn, rice and straw. More malts than hops. Sweetish. Strong carbonation. Its only ok when served ice cold in Spain.

Did not Stanley Kowalski scream it out best, "Estrella! Estrella" or some such nonsense. This was a DAMN fine DAMM beer, even thought its purported to be Alsatian in nature, and if theres one unruly pocket of lowlifes in Western Europe that needs Blatz, its the Alsatians....always flitting back and forth between shame (pre 1870 France) and greatness (Germany, 1871-1918, 1940-45) back to shame (France, 1945-present). Screw these jackasses, and get a Blatz in your gut.

Aroma: Very subtle cereal notes Appearance: Golden color with sparkling liquid and white head. Taste: Medium sourness Palate: Medium body with thin likquid and lively carbonation Abrupt astringent finish with metallic notes. Overall: Astringent and metallic beer. Disgusting acidic finish and too much carbonation.
