There is an aroma that includes caramel, bread, and nuts. It has a dark brown color with a medium bodied light brown head. There is a toffee, nut, and caramel taste that has a bit too much carbonation. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 22, 2013
Bottle from Vinosity. Medium cola brown pour with a large off-white head. The nose is sweet, quite nutty. Plenty of rich malty sweetness. Caramel, toasted pumpernickel bread, toffee. Chestnut. The taste is sweet. Rich malt profile. Candied nut and caramel. Light spiciness. A touch metallic on the finish. Medium body, active carbonation on the palate. Overall, pretty tasty stuff. The kind of thing you’d want on a cool fall day. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - SEP 18, 2013
September 2010. From bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, grain, yeast and fruit. Light body with sweet malty notes. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 19, 2013
bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear brown colour, creamy off-white head. Subtle hop aroma, reminding me of their Helles. Grainy and robust malty base with lots of dark malts, caramel and a shy touch of dark fruit. Lovely hops, woody, earthy and slightly grassy and floral. What a stunning Dunkel! kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - JUN 15, 2013
Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts mild-malty, modest dry, not too roasty. Finish with some earthy hints, malty-dry. Mild, but not washy. Nice!

Bottle from my wife’s friend Julie. Mahogany with a nice creamy biege head. Nice malt forward nose, some apple, bready, slightly toasted caramel. Moderate carbonation, mild body, somewhat sweet, slightly thin on the finish although a nice dry maltiness at the end. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUN 5, 2013
Pint9 bottle, pours semi clear brown with off white head. Medium bodies with a nice malty aroma and caramel. The flavor is smooth and creamy. Nice roasted malts and caramel flavors. A mild bitterness on the end but expected that. Wonderful beer. hawanna (3301) - Freising, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2013

500ml Bottle, just out of date when poured into my ’Judas’ stemmed massive tulip glass on 4 Apr 2013.
Looked really great: a reddy, mahogany brown body with a very large head of foam on top.
Malty notes hit your nose: sweet molasses, caramel and toffee hints come through more and more as the beer warmed in the glass.
Those same sweet malty aromas are also within the taste, this is a sweet brew:most likely the sweetest beer in this style I’ve had so far.
Body suits the alcohol content and overall a pleasant and easy drinking beer.
