Test vom 18.11.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,12,12,12,10,12 - 11,90

Delicate and tasty. Pale with a soapy head. German hops in the nose, a bit of a light pils feel all the way around. Grassy, clean, some body. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours a very clear dark golden color with a moderate white head. Nose is just a tad sweet with a typical lager smell. Feels creamy, which I found surprising. Tastes like a lager. Meh.

Borresteijn (7412) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 4, 2012
50cl Bottle via trade, thanks Bierkoning! ABV 5.0%. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is malty sweet, bread, cake, light spicy grassy hops. Flavour is nice smooth and malty, soft bitter grassy finish. Simple and straightforward, but really nice and smooth. Light-bodied, soft oily mouthfeel.

Pale golden, quite stable white head; grassy-grainy nose, light bodied, light bitter flavour; short dryish bitter-sweet finish.

Purchased this at a Orterer Getrenmarkt in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, Germany 30.05.12 consumed at friends Lyn & Barrys when invited to watch Ukraine v England match 19.06.12 Pours shining gold with a white head. Bit sweet initially I like the maltiness, soft in the mouth. Not sure of the abv but there is thickness and warmth that suggests that this is stronger than it probably is. Like this. It’s warm golden with a huge, creamy, white head. The aroma has mild notes of malt, bread and flower. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of malt, grain, bread, flower and a little citrus with a straw feel. The finish is slightly dry. Harmonic.

Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 23, 2012
Hard, musky baked aroma. Clear lager color, fairly still. Dirty malt flavor, mild hopping. Easy drinking, pretty standard stuff. I would drink it, but not as a pricey import.

Jesterdeal (1985) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Aroma of sugar cookies, apples, and yeast. Pours amber with decent carbonation and a quick head. Tastes of grassy yeast with a hint of corn bread. Nice helles.

Hazy honey color with a full white head and good lacing. Taste matches the smell: sweet caramel malt with a touch of vanilla and clove, balanced by a light floral hops in the finish. Very good helles; light and easy drinking.
