Bomber, $6 here in Bloomington. Nose drenched with citrus (more resinous pineapple and orange rind, but also lemon and lychee), some caramel and bread underneath, and hearty pine needles. Very nice hop profile. A little dusty. Hazy golden pour with orange highlights and a rocky beige head. Strongly bitter taste with lots of orange peel and bread, the Pacman also strong, above the light bread and grain. Dry and musty with freshly squirted citrus on top (grapefruit having moved in to assume dominance, now a touch of muskmelon, too). Earthy caramel and pine. Hops clearly favored over the subtle, warm malt (and I think this is the first time I’ve had Horizon). Lightish body, smooth and creamy with almost no grit, aftertaste and finish still very dry and soaked in hops. Haven’t felt this excited about an IPA since last year’s batch of harvest ales. Holy moly, I need this on tap, now! sloth (2936) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - AUG 16, 2008
Nice pour, nice head, nice sticky lace. Big hoppy nose, piney, citrusy, earthy and pungent. Full bodied and chewy. Aggressive hopping with solid malt backing. Dry, big, bitter finish. A solid IPA. Nice. illkarate (115) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - AUG 15, 2008
22oz bottle, poured a nice peachy-gold color, off-white head, nice carbonation. Flavors of pine resin, citrus - the Amarillo hops are are at the forefront of the hop blast. Not totally crazy about this IPA, but it is definitely drinkable. Ratman197 (15346) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 12, 2008
Bomber poured a hazy orange with a lasting amber head and good lacing. Aromas of carmel, pine, earthiness, grapefruit and tangerines. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish. Ramenen (466) - San Salvador, EL SALVADOR - AUG 9, 2008
Thanks to Juancho. Drank it in Panajechel, Guatemala. Pours an orange color with a white head. Light bodied, aromas of pine and citrus, well balanced, nice long finish.

Pours a transparent bright golden with a pillowy white head and nice lacing.
Aroma of fairly fresh, piny hops and a touch of sweet pale malt. Body starts
fairly full and lightly sweet with a good resiny hop bitterness and flavor
throughout before a dry, crisp, slightly peppery finish. A pretty nice IPA. DrBayern (1140) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - AUG 4, 2008
Shared bomber with CelticBrew, doboy, and Steve E. on 8/2/08. My friends (???!!!) urged me to hurry up and enter this rating today, so here goes.doboy (424) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - AUG 3, 2008
Aroma - Big hoppy aroma of pine and spice as well as the obligatory citrus, honey and toffee trail behind as a reminder that at least some malt was used.
Appearance - Hazy orange pour with a large white head and copious, sticky lace.
Flavor - Grapefruit bitterness right off the bat, lingering as a veil over a base of honey like malt flavors.
Palate - Medium body and carbonation, resinous, very dry palate with a long satisfying finish.
Overall - A classic West Coast style IPA, and a very well done example.
Great hop aroma hit my nose with this first beer of an 11 beer sample session with Steve, CelticBrew and the infamous DrBayern, who I am sure ahs waited to be review #10!!!! It poured slightly cloudy with a nice light lacy head. The first taste gave a nice bite of hops, and the finish was equally as refreshing! An Olympic Gold Medal Winner at MY games!! And NOW, DrBayern may impart his words of wisdom!!!!! CelticBrew (912) - The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA - AUG 3, 2008
Shared with DrBayern, DoBoy and Steve. 22 oz bomber poured a hazy golden color, forms nice off white foamy head. Aroma was of hops and wet forrest grass. Flavour was of a hop bomb, tons of it. Extremely bitter with a nice citrus accent which blends itself to a near smoothness that teases your palate. Incredible beer! DocLock (11020) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2008
Hazy orange pour with off-white head. Nose is heavy tropical fruity and resiny hops, fruit, honeydew, mango, caramel malt, spicy yeast. Rich and thick on the palate, with tons of hops, tropical fruit, and malt flavors intermingling perfectly. The finish is hoppy, assertive, and smooth. This is a top tier IPA, and I daresay it should be kicked into the IIPA category.
