Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - APR 10, 2009
22 oz bottle picked up at my local grocery and transported down to San Fran to share with friends. Dark golden pour with a big white head that evaporates at a moderate pace. Aroma is all hops, mostly pine with a bit of floral elements as well. Flavor mostly the same, very little malt element but nice piney hop bite. Also in response to the reviewer before me, you clearly have no idea about Eugene at all, the Tracktown branch of Rogue that is located here names its beers after Track and Field events because Eugene IS Tracktown, USA. Home of Prefontaine, Nike, Salazar and a hundred more. And most recent host of the Olympic Track and Field trials. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 8, 2009
In short: A tasty IPA with discreet malts but flavourful and refreshing bitter hops. Very good. Tmoney99 (15035) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 8, 2009
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh soon after purchase (I think). Tasting session with Montreal crew
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Neutral bready malt backbone body provides a not-so-flavourful white bread foundation leaving all the flavour spectrum available to the hops. This one is all about the hops. Intense pine-cone needles and grapefruits flavours provide a tasty and refreshing bitterness. What a weird idea to name a product for beer enthusiasts after a physically demanding sport. This is like naming an open-line sports radio show the Quantum Mechanic Hour.
Bottle from Keg Liquor. MartinT (10102) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2009
Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate fruity and hoppy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration.
Very good brew.
My Bottom Line: ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 22, 2009
This perfumy India Pale Ale relies on its pine needle hoppiness and its potent resins to deliver a long-lasting, unbalanced, pleasant hoppy quencher.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the sunny golden haze.
-The nose is almost unassuming compared to the soaring resinous bitterness.
-The hops add a citrusy touch as well.
-The body is rather lean and the carbonation effervescent, making for a drinkable mouthfeel.
-The malt character is not well defined, but this is a hoppy fix anyway, and a good one at that.
Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy dark golden colour with a small creamy white foam. Rouges dryish cracker-like yeast in the aroma with notes of strawberries, butter and grapefruit. Medium-bodied with dryish notes of crackers, grapefruit, resin and white bread. Crisp bitter finish of grass, minerals and grapefruit.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy golden, fair sized head. Citric hoppy mango aroma. Sweet with rock solid body and clean mouthfeel. Lots of sweaty orangey hops swimming in syrup. Massive salty bitterness. A rough, huge IPA. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAR 8, 2009

Twist, Stockholm. Hazy orangeish golden colour with mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is bigtime fruity hops along with mild caramel and some grass. Flavour is toffee, caramel malts, some bittering fruity hops as well as some grassyness. A rather spicy finish. Wellbalanced and very drinkable.
It’s all about the free range coastal water. Cloudy golden pour with a thick cream white head. Floral hoppy nose. Really lacks a distinct palate, but the lingering bitterness is nice. Really balanced hops: citrus, sweetness and crisp bitterness. Crit (4065) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 16, 2009
Cloudy gold,L lasting white head, tiny intense bead.Spicy citrus hop nose.Big hop profile, both citrus and bitter. Long strong finish
