Biscuit, yeast, orange peel. Sweet malt, cake, touch of dry fruit, mild herbal hops, dry finish. Quite original, does taste like a Belgian happoshu, and quite better than most cheap local ones considering the friendly price.

89 yen beer brewed in Belgium & imported by It pours a clear mellow gold with a thick foamy head that leaves behind decent lacing. Grainy, grassy aroma. Medium-light bodied, smooth mouthfeel with a light effervescent carbonation. The taste is maize, cotton candy & grainy sweetness. Quite sweet but actually not terrible. Color me surprised this didnt completely suck! After it warmed up though some vegetal + catpiss notes started to show up...

89 yen is a very low price for a beer, but mine at first had an unpleasant metallic smell, as if it had passed too much time in the can. After some time in the glass it got better (or maybe my nose got used to it), but there wasnt too much behind, some malt and grassy flavour. In the mouth it had some weight and an oily texture, the foam was nice but quite short.

Can, near its drink by date. Grassy, citrus hop aroma with honey malts and a bit of mineral. Not bad at all in the nose. Golden with a thin head. Bready malts with nice flavor hops in the mouth. Grass and lemon. Not much bitterness, but a little. Oily, rich palate, though a bit watery too. Pretty decent for the price (about 100), though I wouldnt want to drink much. I think the aging might have made it better. I wonder if this is really an ale...?

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2012 Can. Labeled "Eurohops" Grassy, some honey flavors, too. Sort of pils-like. Pale straw color, thin white head. Flavor; grass, bit of sweet malt, fairly smooth aftertaste. Thin and watery. This is another cheap import in Japan... but it is drinkable.

Can bought in Narita city. Clear thin golden like colour, short white bubbly head. Aroma and flavour is mild with something hoppy like, herbal and lightly bitter. Thin.
