Cask at The Central Bar, JDW. Pours a clear, shining copper with a creamy, lingering head. Doughy malt nose with some faint hops. Flavor is fairly sweet and a touch syrupy with caramel notes, and some mild, orange citrus bitters. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Cask handpull at Willow Walk, JDW, Victoria. Beautiful brown amber colour with lasting thin ivory head. Good deep, slightly sweet biscuit bitter. Some fruit. Very decent. (Cask at Penderel’s Oak JDW, Holborn, London, 24 Nov 2010) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with toast, orange marmalade and apricots. Cask @ Sir John Moore, JDW. Dark golden colour, white head. Aroma is light malted, bit biscuit. Flavour is soft malty, fruity. Very soft and smooth. Easy drinkable.

From cask at Standing Order. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is slight fruity and light toasted malt. Slight overripe fruity, apples and mild citrusy. Cask Half Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Nov 2010 - Mid Brown in colour. Fruity; orange citrus. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Hoppy; slight hop bitterness. Sweet fruity malty throughout. Easy drinking. (2010-11)

The Felix Holt, Nuneaton. Copper with a slim beige collar. Stewed pear, clean hay and caramel, boiled sweet hints, hazelnut. Some spoilng cardboard and plastic as it warms; negligible damp nut aroma. So-so.
