Artigianale is an exciting new beer from Everards for 2013. Atigianale is brewed to an original Italian recipe and its name is the Italian word for ‘craft’. This golden amber ale is brewed with whole limes, kaffir lemon leaves and kampot peppers and offers a mouthful of lingering flavours. The use of cascade hops provides strong flowery, spicy and citrus tastes. Whilst the addition of Chinook hops provides a herbal, smoky and floral finish.

RichTheVillan (8248) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2013
Cask at Craven Arms; golden amber pour with fluffy white head, slight citrus aroma, mostly standards bitter taste with subdued citrus hop and sweet malt uprising.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2013
Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton 01/08/13. A yellow blonde coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. Weird rubbery fruits, cereals and herbal elements. Lemony notes. Typical bizarre Italianness. Mixed up.

BlackHaddock (7696) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2013
Hand-pulled half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 1st Aug 2013. My half-pint came pale gold with a small, thin white covering and had an apple type aroma: I found it weak flavoured thin and ’not good’. It was the worst beer I had during my nine cask beer outing that night. Mild citrus feel to the brew, but I couldn’t find any of the exciting ingredients the brewery claims are used. In short a disappointing beer that I thought might be interesting, but for me wasn’t. Maybe the flavours were too delicate for my palate to pick up? Scored objectively.

leaparsons (10765) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2013
Cask, Star and Garter, Wigston. Golden with a white foam. Aromas are grapefruit grain and caramel with toast. Flavours are slick lemon with butter and grain. The first rating sttempt failed but this second time is equally disappointing. Very poor.

DruncanVeasey (8283) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUL 17, 2013
Handpull, Nunfest, Sperrin Brewery Stadium, Nuneaton, 13/07/13. Low white cap over orange gold. Nose old orange rinds, herb. Moderate shrubby hop, green herb, mellow dankness, wheat and lemon. A bit flimsy but refreshing. Sweet wheat-based biscuit afters.

imdownthepub (15334) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2013
Cask conditioned at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Gold with white head. Initially quite sweet, then a bittering lime type flavour shows through along with a boiled caramel note. Thin, slightly disappointing given the Breweries description.
