Spring 2012. JDW, Rochester. A rustic amber bitter with very pleasant well rounded biscuit malt. Soft hopping. A very attractive beer. RichTheVillan (7914) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2012
Retro review from Spring 2012 Wetherspoons Beer festival; dark brown colour with slight red tinge pretty boring taste. Insipid! ManVsBeer (10654) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2012
There’s not much flavour to this Everards brew, but it does have a fair texture. Leighton (21489) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2012
Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear, red-gold with a small, foamy head. Modest toffee, toast and dark fruit in the nose. Sweet toffee flavor with hints of fruit, some frosting, mild cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, sticky finish with burnt sugar, some more toffee, light vanilla frosting and French toast. Pretty nice, if a bit basic. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2012
Cask conditioned handpump Eastgate Northampton. A nut brown coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. A malty fruity beer with berry flavours. Sweet malts and a decent body. The aroma needs strength but it’s a reasonably tasty beer.

Cask at the Penderels Oak, red-brown, good head, chewy malt and bitter body, rather nice. markas101 (2468) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Cask, The Francis Newton, Sheffield. Medium gold, very faint floral citrus aroma with some cereal grain. Bready with a sweet coffee cake flavour. Caramel finish. Not offensive but cloying. leaparsons (10606) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 23, 2012
Cask. William Wygston, Wigston. Dark gold and copper with a cream foam. Aromas are toffee and pear with raisins and bready yeast. Flavours are sweet toffee and some roast malts with raisins and yeast. Bitter on the finish with some detergent. Peppery on the palate. Not bad.
