Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 11 April 2013. Poured a slightly hazy, dark golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, straw and bready malt. Nose is malt, cereals, grain, biscuit, toffee, light root beer notes.
Taste comprises toffee, malt, sugars, cereals.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with a little bitterness.

Festival cask ale, one-third pint on a sample tray at J DW The Welkin. Beige thin head. Clear golden-brown body. Laces well. Pale malts and floral hops to the nose. Taste of herbal hops on a grainy backbone to the taste buds. Fruit bitter tail. Fined bodied. Foamy in the mouth and a bit floury. Hamilton Hall Spoons. Clear gold beer, little white head. Palate is smooth with mild fine carbonation. Semi sweet pale malt. Nice sweetish orange hops with a strong floral note in the semi dry finish. Light, tasty and very drinkable. Good one!
