Cask conditioned handpump Moon On The Square Northampton 01/11/12. A light brown coloured beer with a whitish head. A nothingness aroma. A bit sweet apply leafy in the mouth. Maybe a little berry late on. Otherwise quite ordinary and thin.
Cask at the David Macbeth Moir. Pours copper, nose is dull toffee, taste is similar, crisp. The_Osprey (7881) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2013
Nov 2012 draught Peckham - bit weak and watery. Not much in foretaste but aftertaste is OK. Drinkable, but wouldn’t have again. downender (8583) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Deep copper with a moderate, off-white head. Caramel, brown sugar and a slightly roasty edge, before a lingering, bitter finish. good. Finn (7513) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
Crosse Keys, Bank 5 Nov 12. JDW festivaløl. Dyp brun. Lavt luftig skum som fester seg litt til glasset. Svakt fruktig aroma. Smaken litt tynn. Svisker. Ettersmaken det samme. Avslutter tørt. ManVsBeer (10238) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 4, 2012
Dark copper ale with a thick head. Has malts in the aroma and flavour but is also crisp in texture.

Festival cask ale at Crosse Keys, one third pint. Clear brown body, shiny surface. Caramel and earth malts to the nose. Brittle caramel taste profile. Dry malt hoppy ending. Tasty (London, 05.11.2012). stravale (3055) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - NOV 20, 2012
Cask @ Muckle Cross, Elgin 201112
Martin243 (1143) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2012
Copper amber, clear, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft caramel malts, soft bitter woody hops, light biscuit malts, very light aroma
Taste - light caramel malts, light spicy hops, soft toasted malts, very very light fruits - standard bitter - under flavoured for the abv
Palate - thinnish body, soft bitter palate. Finish as main flavour, light bitter toasted malt tail
Overall - Standard bitter, bit better than usual Everards beer but it’s still bland and underflavoured
Pint at ’spoons Gateshead, not in the best fettle. Hazy orangey brown with a thin scummy off white head that rapidly disappeared. Little bit of caramel and citrus aroma, replicated in the flavour. Fruit and nut toffee and marmalade flavours came through the murk. Shame about the condition, there might have been a decent beer fighting to get out. Hand-pulled pint in Montgomery’s Towers (a Spoons in Shrewsbury) on 1st Nov 2012: one of the many beers in the Spoons 2012 Real Ale Festival. Wetherspoons claim it has been brewed purely for their festival which could well be true.
Amber body, clean and clear looking, the head both creamy in colour and texture.
Toasted, roasted malty aroma, some caramel and toffee notes but no overly sweet in the smell or taste.
Not the most exciting beer on earth but it does have a flavour and taste: malty and fruity with a semi-dry finish, not bad at all.
