On tap at the brewery. Pours out black small tan head. Roast malt aroma , earthy. Taste follows with more of the nice roast malts and a bit of chocolate. Not much sweetness for an oatmeal stout. BuckeyeBoy (8853) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 16, 2017

Dark brown. Dark roasty nose. Soft, sweet, light chocolate, but really a nice balanced bitter chocolate.

Tap at the brewery.
A: Pitch black with a cappuccino head.
N: Coffee, oatmeal, black pepper, baker’s chocolate, smoke, ash, vanilla, burnt malt, and pumpkin seed.
T: Bittersweet, similar to 80% dark chocolate.
M: Medium body, smooth, no alcohol presence.
O: Very good. I like this better than Samuel Smith’s, and I see where the Impy stout got its pedigree. Marheb (6334) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 1, 2016
(En fût à la source): Extrêmement cendré, mince avec un effort de mocha rabroué par des malts brûlés. Un peu inégal.

On tap at the brewpub in White Salmon.
The nearly opaque body displays lovely ruby highlights when held to the light. Very good tan head leaves patterned stick lacing on the glass
Mildly bitter. Lacks complexity. Mild flavor.
Medium+ body is smooth with medium-light carbonation

Draft, 12 oz pour at Hop and Hound. Pours a cola black with a tan fizz head. Big roast on the aroma. Flavor is heavy roasted malt, coffee hints, and a nice, balancing sweetness. Toasty linger forever. Stand out hops, which is a unique quality for a stout like this for me. Drinks super easy. Very nice. williamstome (2038) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 6, 2015
Very dark brown pour, small brown head. Big roasty aroma, flavor of roast, cocoa, and coffee. Full bodied. fiulijn (21506) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 6, 2014
Draught at The Beer Junction, Seattleericdevin (988) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAR 31, 2014
Dark color, almost black. Strong aroma of coffee and burnt bread. Coffee flavor, with just a hint of chocolate, and strong bitterness.
Draft at Cornbread Cafe, Eugene. Pours a medium-dark brown, decent amount of tan head. Aroma slight, oats and some roasty, biscuity overtones. Body medium-lively, some roasty spark, finish very smooth. Not going to blow the doors off, but a very quaffable beer.
