A: Pitch black with a cappuccino head.
N: Coffee, oatmeal, black pepper, baker’s chocolate, smoke, ash, vanilla, burnt malt, and pumpkin seed.
T: Bittersweet, similar to 80% dark chocolate.
M: Medium body, smooth, no alcohol presence.

The nearly opaque body displays lovely ruby highlights when held to the light. Very good tan head leaves patterned stick lacing on the glass
Mildly bitter. Lacks complexity. Mild flavor.
Medium+ body is smooth with medium-light carbonation

Draft, 12 oz pour at Hop and Hound. Pours a cola black with a tan fizz head. Big roast on the aroma. Flavor is heavy roasted malt, coffee hints, and a nice, balancing sweetness. Very dark brown pour, small brown head. Big roasty aroma, flavor of roast, cocoa, and coffee. Full bodied.

Dark color, almost black. Strong aroma of coffee and burnt bread. Coffee flavor, with just a hint of chocolate, and strong bitterness.
Draft at Cornbread Cafe, Eugene. Pours a medium-dark brown, decent amount of tan head. Aroma slight, oats and some roasty, biscuity overtones. Draught at Bar XV in Portland. Chocolate nose, but not much. Thick and dark. Somewhat harsh chocolate initial / smooth in mid and some coffee notes. Medium-heavy body. Nose is roast malt, dark toffee, light cocoa, liqourice.
Taste follows, light coffee, mineral notes.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light roasty finish.
