THOUGHTS: Nice but not very winter like. Not a super dunkelweizen, but a decent beer.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a murky, medium brown with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma had light toasted, nutty, caramel, chocolate and sour malts, wheat; hints of banana; clove; and citrus. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and acidic; while the finish was moderately sweet, acidic and bitter, and lightly sour with an average duration. The medium body was a little oily with very fizzy carbonation and a dry and light to moderately astringent finish.

Appearance – Pours a mahogany color with a small fizzy white head. The head fades fast to leave almost no lacing.
Smell- The aroma is heaviest of a sweeter fruit aroma. The biggest is that of banana which is mixed with some very light dark fruit. Other aromas of caramel, yeast and clove are in there as well creating a sweet but pleasant aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet caramel and wheat bread flavor. As the taste advances toward the middle the caramel lessens but a banana and yeast flavor come to the tongue. The body dries out more toward the end and a clove spiced flavor comes to the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is medium at first, but later in the taste, it is on the lighter side in terms of its thickness and creaminess. The carbonation level remains relatively consistent and on the medium side throughout the taste. A little more body at the end of the taste would have likely been nice for the yeasty and maltier flavors of the brew, but overall it wasn’t’ all that bad.
Overall – Its flavor starts out rather decent, but in the end, with the fading of much of the sweetness, it leaves a little too dry yeasty and spiced flavor on the tongue. r464 (2362) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 10, 2013

Aroma: The aroma has some dark fruit, caramel malts, and some slightly sour notes
Appearance: It pours a reddish-brown color with a small beige head and light-medium lace
Flavor: The taste is fruit and metal, it has an oddly sour and some light sweetness
Palate: The body is light-medium, with lively carbonation, a slick feel, and and astringent finish
This one wasn’t very good. There’s a lot off about it. The sourness, the metallic notes, and the mouthfeel issues all feel like brewing flaws I guess. This may have been my least favorite of the 3 Evil Genius beers in the pack.

12oz bottle from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a muddy brown with outer edges that were more orange/brown and due to a rather vigorous pour an average size foamy light beige head that quickly and aggressively faded. Aroma is like a dirty chocolate banana that spent a lot of time in the dirt along with some lighter orange slices, bubble gum, paste and some old wheat. LIghter to medium bodied that is slightly watery with stronger large bubbly carbonation and luckily a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor is very similar to the aroma with an earthy dirty chocolate banana leading the way followed by some paste, wet wheat, rotting raisins and bad vanilla. Meh, it’s okay I suppose. Draft at Barcade Philly with Dallas, Ann, Andrew and Jen. Pours a deep murky brown body with no head, thin off white lacing. Aroma is metallic, funk, vinegar - smells straight infected. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of metal, blood, vinegar, strong unfavorable spice, rancid. Literally, the worst beer I’ve tried in a long time. Impossible to finish a pint of this.
