I thought this was a Belgian styled pumpkin ale, so this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a slight copper color with a subtle transparency about it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Foamy white head quickly dissolved. Not much lace.
The aroma had some breadiness, somewhat dark and sweet with a touch of clove, ginger and grassy hops. Leather and floral hop character flow into some cereal sweet grains and then some light pumpkin sweetness rounded it all out.
The flavor was somewhat sweet through the prior mentioned tastes. The spices really don’t coincide too much. Aftertaste leaned towards the sweet side and so was the finish.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. Spice harshness was there, adequate. ABV felt fine.
Overall, not sure why Evil Genius retired this one. And apologies for the late upload, but this was one of the examples that Evil Genius can actually brew decent beer. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - AUG 14, 2014

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a very hazy yellow color with a two finger white head. The head has a nice level of retention, fading over time to give a good level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is bready and yeasty with some lemon citrus. Mixed with these aromas, and as the name would suggest, is a pumpkin aroma mixed with a little bit of pumpkin pie spice smells.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and pumpkin flavor that is soon meet by some flavors of a yeasty nature. More toward the middle the pumpkin is lost as citrus flavors come to the tongue and drown out the pumpkin. As the taste advances further the pumpkin comes back and gets stronger in taste and is met with other light spice flavors of nutmeg and clove. In the end a lemon and pumpkin flavor is left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is a bit on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is very average. The thinner body and higher carbonation are quite nice for the drinkability and fruit vegetal flavors of the brew.
Overall – OK, but nothing too spectacular. It is sorta an odd blend of pumpkin and citrus. Not likely one I would go to again and again, but it is worth a try.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper with off-white head. Some pumpkin and spice in the nose. Tastes malty, with cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin flavors. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Bottle:   Bright straw, pale haze, thin frothy white head, little lacing.   Spicy nose, pumpkin like but moreso a fragrant citrus aspect.   Slightly candle like tho.   Spicy on the tongue, but again a bit more citrus like, candied citrus, with a mealy background.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes okay, but the spices seem a bit overly fragrant and artificial.   Still enjoyable for what it is tho. hopdog (12816) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2012
12oz bottle. Hazy yellow color with an averaged sized head. Aromas of cloves, citrus, spices and just a trace of pumpkins. Tastes of pumpkins, oranges, and some spices.

Part 3 of my Evil Genius Trifecta. Thanks to mikericm for the trade. This beer pours out a cloudy yellow. Banana and citrus aroma. The citrus carrys over into the taste, mingling with a bit of spice. Didn’t really get a lot of pumpkin taste here either, but it is an easy drinking beer. AirForceHops (7546) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 21, 2012
12 oz. bottle from Beer Haven. Clear yellow color with active carbonation. Nose is yeast and a light spice. Taste is thin with clove; pale malt and a light spice that I would like to call cinnamon. Has a light tanginess. Mouthfeel is effervescent. Ok. Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 27, 2012
Pours cloudy gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma is earthy, citrus and very very faint pumpkin. Taste is sweet with light bitters. Light bodied with a crisp finish. McGrupp612 (149) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2012
Nice gold pour with a white head. Smells like muddled holiday spices, plus clove, banana and bubblegum. No pumpkin in the flavor. Muddled and bitter spices fight with the spice and fruit from the yeast. Bitter and metallic. Light body and medium carbonation. Not horrible, but not good either.
