12oz bottle from Crossroads Spirits. Pours a thin black color with a small foamy light tan head. Aroma of faint roasted malt, and some chocolate. Not getting much else. Taste of pronounced artificial chocolate, dark roasted malt, a hint of vanilla, and an aftertaste of sour bitter coffee. One of the better beers I've had from this brewery, but still average at best. Appearance of typical stout. Smells slightly of lactose and malt. Taste is good. samsmith33 (772) - - DEC 5, 2013
Aroma is light chocolate and coffee. Dark Black color, thin white head. Thin beer. Taste is Alka Seltzerr; not very flavorful for a Stout. Missing sweetness, boldness, bitterness that you would expect Thin feel. Disappointed. BazookaJoe (274) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - NOV 16, 2013
Pours black with a slight aroma of smoke and roasted malt. Very creamy flavor that tastes like chocolate milk.

THOUGHTS: Decent chocolate stout but nothing all that special.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown that was basically opaque black in the glass with a large, tan head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma had heavy roasted malt and dark chocolate; moderate coffee; and hints of licorice. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and moderately bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and bitter. There was chocolate, roasted malt, hints of licorice and light coffee. The medium body was creamy with fizzy carbonation and a metallic finish.

Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a murky dark brown with AMPLE light beige head and very lively carbonation. Smells fairly sweet and malty with a little tartness. Tastes like it smells with some metallic notes and a below average mouthfeel for the style. Infected? Let’s hope so. r464 (2377) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Dark with a medium sized tan head. Roasted malt and cocoa, lightly sweet, not bad but not particularly a standout stout. dmac (6574) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - APR 4, 2013
12oz bottle of meh. Poured a thinner density dark brown body with a huge frothy light beige head that lasts and lasts. That was the best part of this beer and the body was too thin. Aroma of super lightly soured chocolate, grains, cereal, fake sweetener. Thinner watery body with overly aggressive carbonation and a sour chocolate finish. Flavor is not even as good as the aroma with old stale dark bread, bad chocolate. old sweetener and lactose along with a hint of olive skins. Blah drain pour. keepersj12 (3142) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Nice beer. Pours almost black with a thin head. The aroma has a bit of chocolate and a lot of roast malt. The flavor is sweet with a bit of chocolate and the roast malts. Fairly light for the style. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Dark brown pour, brown head. Fake chocolate, lactose, chocolate milk, light roast. Meh.
