Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a murky dark brown with AMPLE light beige head and very lively carbonation. Smells fairly sweet and malty with a little tartness. Tastes like it smells with some metallic notes and a below average mouthfeel for the style. Infected? Let’s hope so. FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2014
Sampled on draft at the Beerhive this beer poured a black color with a large fluffy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was roasty and dry with moderate cocoa. The flavor was bitter and roasty with notes of vanilla, wood and cocoa powder. Long dry, roasty, cocoa finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body under a small fizzy light brown head that faded to a wispy film. The nose very chocolaty and rich with lots of sweet milk chocolate. Smells like a candy bar in a glass. The flavor is a bit thin in the malt department, but the chocolate is really nice. It’s not super sticky and sweet, but like liquid chocolate. Finishes with some long lingering chocolate and a bit of caramel. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty decent beer, I like the heavy chocolate flavor while not being sickeningly sweet. ben4321 (6503) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 1, 2013

Aroma: The aroma is fairly light with some roasted malts, chocolate, and a bit of earth
Appearance: Pours a dark brown-black color with a thick froth of beige-brown head and coating lace
Flavor: The flavor is the same with sweet malts, chocolate, and some metallic notes on the finish
Palate: The body is fairly light for the style, a touch watery, and with a fairly short duration
It is not completely terrible, but not a very exciting one. The nose is fine, but kind of dull, the taste is similar to the nose, but not as good, the body is watery, but at least it has a nice looking pour.
12oz bottle of meh. Poured a thinner density dark brown body with a huge frothy light beige head that lasts and lasts. That was the best part of this beer and the body was too thin. Aroma of super lightly soured chocolate, grains, cereal, fake sweetener. Thinner watery body with overly aggressive carbonation and a sour chocolate finish. Flavor is not even as good as the aroma with old stale dark bread, bad chocolate. old sweetener and lactose along with a hint of olive skins. Blah drain pour. cheap (5856) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 15, 2014
Yes, nice and black from the tap. Looks good. Thin scummy head. Smell is surprizingly peanut butter. No flavor of peanut butter tho. More liek semi sweet chocolate. fairly mild and easy to take. Decent lacing as the session continues. Good co2, but just barely perceivable. Milder easy goin finish. Not bad overall, well done. reggiedunlop (3724) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Pours dark brown/black with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty/burnt...some bitterness and mild cocoa notes. Flavor has nice dark chocolate and burnt/roasty bitterness. Mouthfeel is light/medium and lively with a dark chocolate/bitter dry finish.
