Almost perfect in every way. It’s wonderful to drink a stout loaded with notes of chocolate that is not overbearing and not pounded by tons of alcohol tones. This one is fantastic. Hopefully you can find it again as it is a seasonal. scarletfire65 (1466) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2015
Bottle at home. Gift from Steve Neligan. Dark brown - black pour with a creamy mocha head. Aroma of chocolate milk. Chocolatey flavor with some woody ashy bitterness. This is good. Underrated. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Pours dark brown/black with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty/burnt...some bitterness and mild cocoa notes. Flavor has nice dark chocolate and burnt/roasty bitterness. Mouthfeel is light/medium and lively with a dark chocolate/bitter dry finish. stangger (619) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 22, 2013
BrOwn black pour at Millers ale house. Bitter cocoa aRoma. Very sweet, Some chocolate. One dimensional but my kind of beer. Heathen (1500) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - JUN 30, 2013
THOUGHTS: Decent chocolate stout but nothing all that special.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown that was basically opaque black in the glass with a large, tan head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma had heavy roasted malt and dark chocolate; moderate coffee; and hints of licorice. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and moderately bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and bitter. There was chocolate, roasted malt, hints of licorice and light coffee. The medium body was creamy with fizzy carbonation and a metallic finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body under a small fizzy light brown head that faded to a wispy film. The nose very chocolaty and rich with lots of sweet milk chocolate. Smells like a candy bar in a glass. The flavor is a bit thin in the malt department, but the chocolate is really nice. It’s not super sticky and sweet, but like liquid chocolate. Finishes with some long lingering chocolate and a bit of caramel. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty decent beer, I like the heavy chocolate flavor while not being sickeningly sweet. boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 6, 2014

Nice beer. Pours almost black with a thin head. The aroma has a bit of chocolate and a lot of roast malt. The flavor is sweet with a bit of chocolate and the roast malts. Fairly light for the style. jflopsu (1615) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Pours a dark black. Has a faint coffee and chocolate aroma. Taste is strong with coffee and hints of chocolate, light malt, and grains. A light malt aftertaste.
