Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking.The beer is a cloudy brown color with a medium tan head and sparse lacing. Aroma of malt and chocolate. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, sweet chocolate and a touch of sweet spice. The finish is sweet and malt. Falls short as a "Pumpkin Porter" but otherwise decent. hopdog (12584) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2012
12oz bottle. Dark brown, almost black pour with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of roasted pumpkin seeds, chocolate, and light spices. Tastes of chocolate, roasty, and just a trace of spices. Pumpkins and spices take a back seat (which, for me is not a bad thing). DocLock (10706) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2013
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid dark blackish brown with off0white head. Nose is complex: a nice medley of roasty dark malt, brown sugar, cacao, nuts, mild pumpkin. Tastes roasty, malty, with notes of cacao, ovaltine, hazelnut, and well integrated pumpkin. This one is very good. gnoff (10543) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - OCT 17, 2012

As "Evil Genius - Trick or Treat Chocolate Porter". Should this really be listed as a Spice/Herb/Vegetable?
Hazy dark brown color, tan head. Sweet, dry, smoke scent. Herbal, bitter taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
On tap at GABF 2012. Pours a cloudy brown color with a medium white head. A sweet nose of spicy pumpkin and other spices. Smooth light roast, toffee, bug spicy flavor with distinct cinnamon and pumpkin. Good. nimbleprop (8386) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 18, 2015

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized brown head left decent lacing. The aroma was dry with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, malt and cola. The flavor was dryish, malty, toasty and bready with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, cola, chocolate and pumpkin. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok. 12 oz. bottle. Excellent eye appeal. Deep brown with ½ inch thick fluffy foamy head. Good retention. Aromas of roasted malt and baker’s chocolate. Taste is very much a standard porter. Roasted malt, chocolate with a hint of smoke in the backend. Nothing wrong with the flavor except for the fact that I can’t find a hint of pumpkin, spice or fall flavor in it. Am I missing something here? Must be totally different on draft. Not bad in anyway just not as advertised. PhillyCraft (7235) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 2, 2015
Pours brown with small head. Notes of marshmallow, toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, hazelnut, and peanuts. Lighter body with light carbonation.
