Trick or Treat is our pumpkin porter brewed with chocolate and spices. This is not your typical pumpkin beer by any means. This is a deep, dark, decadent seasonal delight that is sure to warm you up as the weather start to cool off. First we brew a rich robust porter that is spiced with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Then we UP THE ANTE and make it truly our own by adding chocolate post fermentation. Trick or Treat is a spicy, rich, unique, and full-bodied dark ale with all the comfort and warmth needed to survive the chilly and ever-lengthening autumn nights.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured dark brown, with a off white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and cocoa very nice. Taste is quite consistent malty, some chocolate and a very slight hint of spices. Very decent porter however I somehow I feel like I’m missing the flavors that prompted me to buy this beer: Pumpkin and Spice (since that’s what it says on the label); not bad overall.

Pours jet black. Tastes of malt, spice, cocoa and pumpkin. Clearly cinnamon and nutmeg. It's light bodied with minimal carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Pours essentially black with a tan head. Burnt pumpkin, chocolate and toast in the lightly smokey aroma. The flavor reveals moderately strong spicing and a hint of coffee.

Not a very good beer. Aroma was very astringent. Some grains with a light pumpkin spice smell. Not very appealing. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin tan film for a head. Taste was thin but better than the aroma. Couldn’t taste any chocolate. Lots of roasted malt with thin cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin mouth feel and sweet and spicy finish.

Tap. Pours a clear dark brown body with a minimal wispy beige head. The nose is extremely chocolaty, smells like a candy bar or Hershey’s chocolate syrup. The flavor is a little over the top with the chocolate syrup, it’s all I can taste. Very syrupy. Not much pumpkin at all, would never have guessed it was in there. Medium bodied, clingy, fizzy carbonation. Interesting, but not something I would want more than 12 ounces of in one sitting.

Pours a nice dark brown. Notes of chocolate and fall spices. Flavor is mostly chocolate, couldn’t really taste any pumpkin. Not a bad fall beer, just wish it had a little more pumpkin.

Wasn’t even sure there was pumpkin at first. Pretty smooth with velvety chocolate flavors.
