Might be my favorite Evil Genius beer with the exception of Purple Monkey Dishwasher. This is a fantastic seasonal pumpkin brew that is not overbearing on either alcohol notes or pumpkin. Easy drinking flavorful brew that makes you want a second one. cwill (90) - Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 7, 2015
First tried at King of Prussia Beerfest Royal and for me, it was the hit of the show. Found a six pack at Wegmans a few days later. Aromas of chocolate and spice. Tastes of chocolate, toasty malts and pumpkin spices with a hint of roasted coffee. Mediem body with low carbonation. As far as I’m concerned, Evil Genius nailed this one. It’s absolutely delicious if you like this style. two7offsuit (448) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 19, 2015

Draft. Deep black, light tan head. Rich chocolate aroma, full body, not much pumpkin but good overall. e303 (287) - - SEP 13, 2015
Great looking porter with a nice khaki head. This smells dope. Lots of pumpkin pie spices with a bit of sweet chocolate to back it up. The taste is a let down from the aroma but still good. Those pie spices shine through a relatively sweet chocolate note. Decent balance though and really soft. Good stuff here.

DATE TASTED: October 2, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Hop Devil nonick... OCCASION: warming up a cold, windy night with something tough enough... APPEARANCE: dark ruby/black body that supports a grey, thin head that settles to a quarter-inch creaminess; ... AROMA: pumpkin, cinnamon, vanilla, slightly toasted dough, oak, and strong, powdery cocoa builds a promise that demands continued inhalation... PALATE: fizzy at the throat, medium-bodied throughout, and slick at the lips... warming and lingering in its aftertaste--the creaminess encourages repeated sips ... TASTE: the cocoa overpowers the pumpkin--not a bad thing--and the vanilla rounds off the profile pleasantly... a nice, earthy spice mills through the sip; some toasted oats make this somewhat balanced... OVERALL: despite other less impressive Evil Genius Halloween offerings, this one hits with a smoothness and drinkability that would have me seeking out a six for sure... the ABV ensures sessionability...I will make this a part of my Halloween celebration in a few weeks ...

Drank a pint at Tony’s Bar and Grill in Ivyland. Has a nice chocolate aroma with hints of fruit, like pumpkin and apple. Taste is sweet, as what can be expected from a beer named "Trick or Treat". Overall, a very nice surprise. Reminds me of a chocolate covered apple.
