stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - MAY 6, 2012
Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, roasted and hops with citrus, grapefruit and peach. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitterness. Overall a good beer. Linnet (1844) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - MAY 5, 2012
Ar: chocolate, heavy notes of it, cocoa, chocolate bars, vanilla, some roastiness, fruity hops, some notes of coffee, faint but in there, paired with faint notes of licorice.
Ap: Black colour, medium beige head, some lacing.
F: licorice, ashy, burnt espresso, big bite, but better balanced with malts than its twin, There are fruity notes of hops in there, but the heavier malt profile subdues them. Finish is very dry and astringent.
T: I quite like this one. Idiosynkrasie (7604) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 4, 2012
500ml bottle. Opaque black with huge frothy lacing beige head. Superb salient hop aroma, grassy and slightly herbal, on roasty dark malt background. Bitter hoppy taste supported by dry roasty dark malt. Excellent. Koelschtrinker (20591) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - APR 25, 2012
Dunkelmalziger, recht bitterer Antrunk. Anschließend wird die Malzigkeit intensiver, weicher und trockener. Bitterschokolade, erdig, etwas alkoholisch, die Röstnoten steigen. Dann grasiger, starke Bitternoten zum Schluss. 12/10/8/9/10/9

500 ml bottle, at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. ABV is 7.1%. Black colour, large tan head. Lovely aroma of hops, fruity and resinous notes. The flavour is distinctly hoppy with piney and resinous notes, also roasty notes (coffee). Roasty bitter aftertaste. bax (1311) - Hasselager, Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 18, 2012
(Bottle 21/03-2012) Low brown head, almost black color, very roasted bitter taste, long aftertaste. BB 2014. TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - APR 16, 2012
Pours a very dark brown, with a brown head.
Very hoppy, heavily toasted aroma, spruce, chocolate, coffee beans, grapefruit, smoke, ashes, tobacco, passion fruit.
Off-dry, full bodied, high bitterness, balanced CO2.
Very hoppy, bitter taste, roasted malt, chocolate, spruce, pine resin, tobacco, coffee, passion fruit, ashes, grapefruit peerl, smoke.
As with the light one, this is also off balance in terms of hops vs body, but works better. The roasted malts make up a better counterweight, providing better balance.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2012 Bottled. Pours deep brown nearly black with a large, creamy, beige head. Excellent lacing. Nose of roasted malts, a bit o smoke and fruity hops. Fairly sweet flavor with roasted malts, bread, citrus, grapefruit and coffee. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. Ends up dry and solid bitter. A nice one.
lusikka (7814) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 14, 2012
500 ml bottle.
Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, bitter hops and some coffee. Flavour of strong roasted malts, dark chocolate, grapefruit, bitter hops and some smoke-like notes. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a roasty bitter finish. Long lingering bitterness just like on the other Russian Roulette. A tad too thin, but still this hop profile is great.
