COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When two gypsies team up with an arrogant bastard, there is bound to be some criminal activity...better to view this project as a conspiracy rather than a collaboration. The strengths of all involved were utilized to break the laws of style guidelines...dark with deception, mysteriously smoked, unexplainably dry, and intriguingly hoppy...maybe it’s best not to even talk about it.

pours very dark brown, pushes black, nice beige head and it leaves good lacing. Aroma smells like a nice funky saison, farmhouse notes, no smoke hints, smells refreshing like i expect a saison to be. Taste is standard saison at first with good funky yeast notes, then the roastiness comes in from the dark malt and it has a very dry floral bitter finish, not getting any smoke. Interesting beer, very refreshing , i got what i expected from these 3 awesome breweries.

Dark brown and crystal clear, medium head. Saison aromas with a hint of roast. Crisp apple flavors with light chocolate.

12 oz bottle - pours deep, dark chocolate color with creamy tan head, medium lasting, slight lacing. Aromas of figs, spice and pepper, sweet malt. Taste is almost a 180. Very subdued and subtle flavors of roasted malts, creamy vanilla and pepper, silky nuts (that sounds dirty) with a wonderful long finish. Really pretty good. Well put together, integrated, and balanced.

From draft in a tulip at Monk’s Kettle, murky slate with a moussey of-white 2" head. The aroma is sweetly with a hint of vanilla & smoke. Malt flavors of cereal and toast lead, body is medium-lean in the mouth, then the smoke blends in with cereal notes. A floral bittering charge from the hops noted in finish. On alternate sips, a Belgian saison yeast character noted in finish, with slight drying. Intriguing and balanced; ambitious to make these various elements all pull together.

Wow, this is a dark saison. It looks more like a stout, with a solid, black color and a cream-colored head that produces some fabulous lacing. The nose provides some smooth, gentle smoked malts atop a roasty saison yeastiness. The flavor is less desirable but still very nice and not overly roasted to be bunking with the obviously saisonish yeast. It’s bright and spicy in the mouth, full and tasty, and reminiscent of fresh, unmolested oak. The roasted malts seem well-hidden in the finish and offers a very nice, clean, charred, soft, woody impression on the palate and a smoky sweetness in the finish. This is my kind of saison!

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2015 This was quite yummy. Very subtle smoke appeared more at the back of the sip. Slightly sour but gave a over all winey-ness. Very pleasantly surprised. Serving: bottle

Strange, interesting; I’ll try this again. Flavor is strong - smokey, malty, yeast and spices. Complex.

A lightly sweet and milky aroma with more than a dash of smoke to it. An insanely wonderful texture, thick and smooth, a long smoky burst, a little more sweet malt and then a light roasty bitterness with plenty of spicy yeast in the finish.

smells smoky and chocolaty with a nice fruity backbone. Dark black color with a hint of ruby. Nice thin tan head. Taste is wonderfully unique like a smoked ported mixed with great saison. Smokey yet light and fruity. I think this beer is great
