Bottle. Black with a fizzy white head. Chocolate, citrus hops, roasted grain, fruit, and light horse blanket aroma and taste with a roasty dry finish and a creamy palate. Phatdog1 (179) - Brentwood, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 22, 2012
12 oz bottle purchased from New England Wine & Spirits. Poured nice & dark into a mini snifter. Nice light brown head & earthy nose. Fruity ester turns into clove & subtle malt flavor. Finishes a bit dry with a charred flavor that hangs. BlackEyePA (573) - USA - DEC 29, 2012
Really nice collabo. Aroma is toffee, toasted grains. Taste is hint of coffee, caramel, and grain. Its clean bland and straightforward but nice. Its kind of a doesnt do anything well but really is good in all categories. Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Pours a deep umber mahogany color with a three finger eggshell head that laces and sticks for the beers longevity. On the nose the aromas are restrained but nice traces of dark earthy malt, peppery cola, citrus and smoke. The palate follows the nose with a nice complexity and balance. Ripe dark fruit, yeasty spice, citrus hops and smoked malt. Nice dry finish.

Bottle from Marczyk. Pours a lovely ebony with a dense tan head. Aroma is complex with cheese, smoke, bubblegum, papery hops. The palate is very creamy. The yeast is potent in the flavor, about as intense as it can get without being unpleasant. Strong spiced notes are in the flavor and plenty of bubblegum. The finish calms things down with chocolate and smoke. This is very different and complex. I like it. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JAN 27, 2013
12oz bottle: pours a clear dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Has a lightly sweet dark malty nose with good smoke character and some resiny hops along with a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with good fullness and toasted malty sweetness with some coffee undertones and fresh smoke drying out slightly before a lingering bittersweet finish. Unique and enjoyable. UPDATED: FEB 7, 2013 Assuming that this is Stillwaters yeast I let the bottle warm up before I poured it. Pours a deep brownish mahogany with a tan head. A compelling aroma of herbs, blueberries, a slight smokiness, and lavender impresses. The Slightly tart fruit flavor ends with a sweet and savory note. Very complex brew, I will for sure buy this one again. Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 2, 2013
12oz bottle pours dark brown with some deep ruby red colored hues and a thin tan head of foam. The aroma is full and offers up a mix of lime, funky yeast and soured molding grapefruit. Interesting taste where modest roasted malts and maltiness meet lime and grapefruit and a bit of moldy funk. This creates a fairly pleasing combination of flavors for me. UPDATED: FEB 17, 2013 Dark, dirty brown with thin creamy-tan head. Aroma is a farmy sap-citrus fusion. fruity juicy-fruit yeast notes. Flavor is more juicy-fruit citrus hops. Incredibly well brewed; I’m ecstatic!!! Medium body; the best session I’ve had in the better part of a year.
