COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly drops of amazingly overwhelming aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amount. And then the taste....even more jesus! Produced and bottled by Evil Twin Brewing at Companyia Cervesera del Montseny SLL. Catalunya, Spain.

Bottle. Pour is viscous black with a small light brown head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, roasted malt with hints of cocoa, junipr, coffee, and light pine hop. Flavor is coffee roasted malt up front with a light nuttiness along with an interesting thai-spice note. Also notes of roasted malt and a deep fruitiness. Not a boring beer. The Thai-like spice in the middle is strange and i cannot put my finger on it. Sometimes it’s there; other times it’s gone. Big beer.

On draught. Pours black, with a large tan head that lasts, leaving good lacing. Nose is dark malt and cocoa, and the taste follows. Deep, rich flavor, with a creamy mouth feel and long finish. Very clean taste. The epitome of an imperial stout. Outstanding.

Pours black soft foaming head that leaves a ring around my glass. The aroma is of licorice, tobacco, toffee, smoke, and a good roasted scent. Taste is smooth and of warming booze. I picked up on a pleasant roasted grain bitterness, sweet sugary taste, chocolate, and dark fruit. This is a really well balanced brew. Overall a great brew. It was drinkable, had a good aftertaste, flavorful, and a well balanced high abv beverage. I would buy/drink this again.

The aroma is licorice, a little bubblegum, clove. Pours black with dark tan head mostly lasting and excellent lacing. The taste is bitter. The body is medium/full, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish bitter and long. Hints of coffee, a very good stout!!

nearbeer (5555) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 4, 2017
33 cl. bottle with no date evident. Jet black with a thin ring of cream. Smell is cocoa nibs, caramel, soy, piquant green herb and char. Tastes of cocoa, toffee, soy, espresso and charred oak. Long finish has some smoke and sea salt. Heavy body is silky smooth with low carbonation and a dangerously drinkable balance, with nary a hint of the 12 %.
