Imperial Stout with Coffee Added On a pilgrimmage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly coffee beans -- threw them in and created damn good aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made it in limited amounts. And the taste.... furthermore Jesus!

Aroma - astringent coffee roast, caramelized sugar, dry powdered chocolate. Appearance - the body is black, the head brown. The head is around 1" and slowly fades into a nice level of foam. Some crowned lacing and alcohol cloying wash of suds. Taste - is rich with some pleasantly astringent coffee. There is some dark chocolate similar to the taste of a Snow Cap nonpareil, marshmallow, there is also some alcohol. There is a small spice - not much though, hardly noticeable. This is a showcase of few ingredients, but the best of those ingredients. Superb! Palate - full body, thick almost chewy texture, carbonation is average, and finish is semi-sweet and slightly astringent.

This is quite stellar. The coffee really isn’t that over aggressive. The stout flavor is delicious. Good stuff.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of dry nutty chocolate, dry roasted malts, chicory, and light ash. Flavors of rich vanilla, rich coffee, powdery roasted malts, and dry very dark chocolate. Wunderbar.

You know how macro beer commercials show their lager poured into a glass? The liquid pours quickly with a glug-glug-glug cadence and a layer of foam rapidly shoots to the top of the glass? Aun Mas Cafe Jesus is basically the opposite of that. It makes its way out of the bottle with a thick chugging sound. A brown head slowly rises up to the top. Evil Twin has put a ton of coffee in here. The beer smells and tastes like bold, dark-roasted coffee, bitter chocolate, and charred earth. This is a viscous beer you need to sink your teeth into. It’s a great addition to the Evil Twin Even More Jesus portfolio.

Bottle. A- Coffee, chocolate. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Espresso, burnt chocolate, mild bitterness. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, robust finish. O- Lots of heavy bitter earthy coffee. Could possibly use a touch more sweetness but still great.

Bottle from K&L in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is licorice, beef jerky, dark chocolate, espresso. Very similar to the base beer (Evil Twin Aún Más Jesús) but with a slight coffee expression. Continues in the same spirit as the rest of this series. Flawless. Well 4.3. Ha. So ridiculous these ratings.

I’m thinking this was last year’s batch because the coffee is pretty much gone. Aroma was fudge and a hint of licorice. Flavor’s like nose sweet upfront lingering bitterness and some Carbonic tang. A Little booze in the Finish. Excellent Imperial Stout.
