Draught at Tap House. Light brown color, white head. Bitter taste with toffee, resin, hops, peat, smoke, raisins and caramel. Bitter finish with toffee, resin, peat, smoke, hops and raisins. Very nice barley wine. LoneWanderer (2) - Hørning, DENMARK - FEB 3, 2017 does not count
Lovely taste although a bit on the sweet side. The aftertaste is neat and not overly bitter. However, the aroma is a bit harsh on the nose and it isn’t quite as clear as I’d prefer. yngwie (17367) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 23, 2016
Crowler, from Basement Beer Bar. It pours an unclear brown body, rather oily and with some beige bubbles on top. Heavy aroma with malts dominating. Oak, booze and some hints of vanilla. Toffee, bread and caramel. It’s full bodied, warming and lightly carbonated. Sort of oily. Lots of malty flavors, toffee, caramel, bread and some hazelnuts. Not much hoppyness going on, not bitterness either. Lasting warming and sweet finish with caramel dominating. Quite lovely this one, but I’d love to taste it without the barrel ageing. 160923 DroolYeast (1823) - Odder, DENMARK - SEP 21, 2016
