jesperhammer (4736) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2011
09-MAY-2011, bottle @home, from "Ølbutikken". Orangey with huge off-white head that coats the glass. Heavily bitter with grape fruit and pine. Very very creamy and very long. Malts are on the light side. Some fruity notes, but mostly velvet bitterness and no alcohol... Love the bitterness in this one.

hopdog (12584) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 10, 2011
Bottle. Poured an amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, pine, citrus, and lighter caramel. Tastes of citrus, spicy hops, floral, and lighter caramel.

Excellent DIPA. Not overbearing in hops or citrus, just in refreshing goodness.

bax (1311) - Hasselager, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2011
(Bottle 7/4-2011) Good balance between the sweetness and bitterness. American, American and American hops what could go wrong.

On tap at the local option; pour is a beautiful gold with a huge pillowtop head in this tulip. Ridiculous cobweb lacing as well. Big herbal, pines, citrus hop profile on the nose. I feel like this is one of those brews with diminishing returns, however. The malt backbone doesn’t cover it for me; its a nice hopped up IPA, for sure, and a nice variation obviously, but it seems too straightforward, I think.

tgncc (3132) - Bellmore, New York, USA - MAY 2, 2011
The aroma is sweatsock, floral, earth. The appearance is translucent amber, off white head. The flavor is caramel, bread, flowers. The finish is resin, floral. Medium/thick in body. Very good, not as good as Yang.

DocLock (10702) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 29, 2011
Verified this is the 8%. Bottles from Smith’s and Capone’s. Wow, this is my third cherry popper of the evening. After tonight, I’m going to be looser than Lindsey Lohan after an L.A. Laker post-game party. On to the review. The pour is turbid pumpkin orange colored, toward canary but promarily orange, with a huge fluffy 4-finger white head. The nose is juat astounding, a medley of intense tangeriney and pineaplly citrus, heavy hops, black pepper, honeydew, and honey. The taste is rich, veru complex, with an initial heavy caramel malty flavor mixed with the huge IBU load, with heavy black pepper, tangerine, pineapple, chardonnay, and some star fruity notes. The palate is dense and absolutely delicious. This one is incredibly good, and it is not a stretch to place it in the upper echelon of IIPAs. I suspect it would fare quite well for itself in a blind tasting with the world’s finest. Get ya some, and do it before it’’s gone.

Draft. Pours orange with an off white head. Piney hoppy aroma with floral and light citric notes, and pale malts. The flavor has floral and piney hops, light sweet notes and a hint of citrus. Solid.

Draft at RnH with Andrew, Streets, and Kyle. Poured a hazy, amber orange body with nice white lacing. Aroma is super fresh pine and grassy hops. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of fresh citrus, spicy pine, grass hops.
