Italy has a certain “je ne sais quoi” – fab food culture, highly decadent history of art and cool countryside. Some might argue the people are loud and flamboyant, they steal our women, and their soccer players melodramatically flop on the pitch. Listen – that’s all part of the secret Italian ingredient – keep it cool, confident, arrogant and extravagant. Forza Italia!

Malt beverage with almonds, vanilla beans and coffee added.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Vintner wine market. Pours black with a half inch of brown foam. Big almond and chocolate notes on the nose. Massive chocolate and almond on the tongue. Hides the alcohol very well. Extremely nice!

On tap at Stubbys. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet with chocolate cookies, bready malt and some caramel. Taste of dark malts, chocolate, sugar and light coffee.

Bottle tasting with Kaufmanised; dark brown pour with beige head, aroma is very sweet caramel, expected sweet taste with coffee, vanilla, really enjoyed this. Will have again.

Draft Ölrepubliken i Göteborg , en verkligen härlig stout sannolikt inspirerad av brorsans Texas Ranger och Hot Rod! Den här är minst lika bra, lite lätt chiliton i smaken men inte så att det dominerar! Mkt fin! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

gyllenbock (10034) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 16, 2013
Bottle from Systembolaget, September 2013. Black with a small tan head. A lot of chocolate in this one. Also vanilla, coffee and roasted malt. A pleasant beer to sip.

No aroma. Nice sweet vanilla flavor. Enjoyable but not special. Head is decent. Not impressed for what it should be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft @ Ebenezer’s. Tar black color with lasting beige head. The nose is so good it make me want to drink this with my Breakfast. Rich roasted malts, coffee with cream and almonds. Flavor is decadent. Thick chocolate, espresso beans, light hints of vanilla and burnt sugar. The body is imperial stout like and real full. Lingering roasted finish. Damn I could drink this every week. If I see bottles, I will purchase a few. Top tier coffee porter!

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2013 On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh). Pours dark dark dark with a bit of lighter head. Sweet aroma with hints of chocolate. Wonderfully sweet taste with grand stout flavors of chocolate and coffee. One of my favorites! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone Rerated - on tap at Bottle Revolution. Not as fabulous as previously noted. Something a big off on this now. Maybe the sweetness is overdone in this batch? Maybe with. Touch of bourbon this would earn back it’s greatness.

ketchepillar (1208) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - AUG 3, 2013
On tap at Bait Shop. A smooth, carafa and hops ris but with some lactose sweetness. Not actually that hoppy. Fairly biscuity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
