COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a really big beer and we wanted to put it in small bottles, but the two bozos were so fat they couldn’t fit on the label. Enjoy this rich, ridiculous and screwball-ish Imperial Stout with hints of: molasses, lactose, chocolate, almond, hazelnut, vanilla bean, cinnamon, oak spiral, chili, marshmallow, muscovado sugar, chesnut and coffee. Made for Bozos.

Bottle. Pours black with thick tan head. Aroma is smokey caramel malty. Taste is sweet chocolate vanilla caramel with a sweet marshmallow vanilla like finish. Mouthfeel is pretty thin in comparison to the alcohol % but it’s very good.

Draft at Ei8ht Ball (I have had this from the bottle as well). Pours black in color with a small disappearing khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have big roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, cinnamon, dark fruit, some vanilla, booze, for as big as it is, I found it drinkable, oak, peppery spice, just a bunch going on, very good in small amounts.

Bozo might just be one of the weirdest things Evil Twin has ever brewed, and that’s putting Bozo against an entire inventory of left-field beers. Evil Twin has always gleefully extended a middle finger to convention, even in the very establishment which it’s a part of. The craft trend of infusing Imperial Stout with all manner of add-ons gets a playful send-up here. The resulting beer is so goddamn overwhelming you can’t help but smile. It’s spicy/sweet/bitter all at once. As you’d expect for a brew that’s 17.2%, it’s heavy and demanding. With a brew this overpowering, you’ll wear out your palate trying to pinpoint things. Maybe that’s the point. Bozo is liquid parody; it’s a joke. If you can’t take it, Bozo’s answer is frank: fuck you.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2016 Bottle. A- Subtle chilies, cocoa, burnt sugar, raw vanilla. A- Black color, dark liquid, minimal head. T- Chilies, cinnamon, cocoa, booze, sugar, sweet. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Pours black with a very quickly dissipating brown head. A ton of booze in here and way too many flavors. Sort of tasty, but with a little refinement, not so many ingredients and a lower abv and this would be amazing. Too much.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Aroma of treacle and chocolate. Lots more I can’t parse. Med++body. Flavor is chocolate, treacle, vanilla, spice. Heat is only an issue in the gullet. Great drinker - make that sipper. It’s really complex.

Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours near black with a transient tan head and a chocolate and treacle aroma. There is a full-bodied nutty dark molasses and chocolate flavor ith a huge alcohol burn.

Draught at Blind Tiger, NYC. Opaque black beer with a decent beige head. Roasted licorice aroma, grapes, dark chocolate, caramel notes, some figs. Roasted fig flavor, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove notes, licorice, some dark chocolate with warming alcohol. Quite nice.

Bottle into a tulip. Pours black, with a moderate brown head. Nose is coffee, chocolate, and caramel, and the taste follows. A hint of booze on the finish. Nice long finish without any stickyness. Delicious.

On tap at Underground. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head. Warm roast and alcohol on the nose, tobacco and leathery, coffee. Thicker side of medium, big roast and warning alcohol early. Cocoa, toasty, thick and full of chocolate. Sweetness gets into some fruity notes with more roast. Huge, yet quite drinkable.
