September 15, 2015 at Craft (Islington) - keg draught. Inky black with a smallish tan-brown head. Complex aroma - treacle, herbal bitterness, oily coffee bean/dark chocolate malt, a little oil paint and hint of fresh cream - I loved it. Taste follows, a lot of nutmeat and more sweet cream - less oily bitterness; definitely alcohol. Slick, thick, mildly carbonated - oily mouthfeel - while very nice, it was a bit downhill after that spectacular aroma.

Flarra hos Reza. Doftar fan vindruvor ja portvin . Smakar oj fyllig komplex balanserad = många fina öl betyg ord. Ja återigen då Jävligt komplex blandning av choklad, portvin, liite kaffe, eftersmak tydligt av russin. Torr och lågt kolsyrad. En höjdare ju!!. Denna ska du dricka PQ

Bottle at 3 Små Rum, august 2nd 2016. Black body with a small tanned head. Aroma is roasted with licrice, dark chocolate, ashes. Taste of leather, strong coffee, cocoa. Dry and thick body with a leathery roasted finish. Long dark aftertaste. Very nice.

I eftersmaken lite mer rökiga charktoner.

On tap at Craft Covent Garden. Black beer lasting tan head. Really chocolate coffee intense imp stout with Molasses prunes and plums. Liquorice aroma. Juicy impy stout rather than dry. Dry finish though. Not keen on the liquorice but thats just my preference. The rest is pretty decent. Hides abv fairly well. Ok .

200ml on tap at Sorbon. Almost pitch back body. Espresso head reduced to a patchy layer. Dotted spots on the glass. Mild roasted dark malty nose, impact of chocolate, liquorice, and molasses. Rich taste of vanilla chocolate alongside moments of cocoa and molasses. Delicate bitterness to a lingering finish, slightly roasted coffee beans to it. Full bodied. Lovely sipper (Bromma, Stockholm 14.08.2016).

Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUL 16, 2016
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Black beer with a light brown head. Nose is mainly liquorice with hops... Strange but nice! Flavour is quite bitter with a hoppy forward tone and a redeeming roastyness... Aftertaste is hoppy, bitter, roasty... Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, more than medium bodied. Wow, very hoppy! In flavour it reminds me of a BIPA! For an Imperial Stout it’s meh....

lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 14, 2016
310 ml bottle. Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roastiness, redcurrant, herbal notes and a bit of burnt rubber. Flavour of dark roastiness, very rich pungent redcurrant notes, some chocolate and rather strong earthiness. Full bodied. I’m not sure whether or not the redcurrant is intentional here, probably not. But I like it.

31 cl bottle. BBE 11/2016.
Pours dark brown, almost black color with a small head. Some rubbery notes on the nose, salmiac, licorice, dark malts, some roast notes and coffee bitterness. Flavor is dry ashy, lots and lots of red wine berries, some raisins and yeast, subtle licorice and tar, some berries push through. Interesting flavors here, the balance is not that great though, too berry-dominant.
