Scopey (15879) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2017
Keg at Craft Islington. It pours clear deep brown with a medium off-white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, quite intense on the sweet front, toffee oily, sugar, Werther's Original, fudge, creaminess and dried fruits. The taste is bitter - sweet, oily, sugary, figgy pudding, boozy, leathery, chewy malts, warming alcohol, tangy raisin, dried fruits and toffee with a dry, warming finish. Full body, and fine carbonation. Rich and chewy stuff. Pretty hefty stuff, but not bad in small doses.
