From tap at Ørsted Ølbar. Pours hazy orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is wooden, peaches and citrusy. Grapefruity too. Roasted caramelish too. Mild spiced, sweet fruity impression and crisp bitter impression. Tangerine and grapefruity flavoured. Dry bitter and malty finish. Slight yeasty. Knowning what this keg went through I understand why this was far from optimal. It did however have a rather homebrew feel to it. Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - JAN 4, 2011
Greyish orange look with a nice foamy baige head. Floral and mandarine hop aroma, lots of it. Very heavy bitter flavor with a little harsh raw bitter finish. Feels alot stronger than 6.5% which i guess is good. Truely a hop juice! mjs (7768) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 30, 2011
(Draught at Pikkulintu) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, hops and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, fruitiness, some acridness, malts, white bread and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. Again, as with many hoppier IPAs, the lack of balance was what disturbed me. Cloudy amber color; generous creamy head. The hop aroma is mild, with fruity hops, a bit creamy and yeasty. Some residual sweetness, toffee flavor, boring, with strong hopping and bitterness, a lot of hop oils, but desperately without the freshness and hop qualities expected from a local beer. Dry final. Disappointing.
Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is funk with hops. Maybe the name is fitting.
Not bad, but ot my thing. Too funky/spicy for a supposed to be ipa. Sammy (12967) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 24, 2012
Bottle from recent Chicago trip, Westlake Liquors. Pours, even for me, monstrous amount of foam. Bottle was a foamer. Neutralized aroma through the perfumed Sauvign hops, let’s call it a neutral aroma. Tingling yet creamy mouthfeel of hops and malt. Not bad to drink, bit took some getting used to. On tap @ Apex.
Hazy golden body with a good amount of white head. Huge floral hop punch in the nose with mango - pungent as the beer’s name implies. Flavor is the same with very little bitterness and an odd aftertaste. Stuu666 (15248) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 16, 2014
Bottle at home. Pours hazy amber, nose is fruity citrus, taste is dry, sweet, fruity. ekstedt (7005) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 24, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2011 Bottle (33 cl) from Bierkompass.de. Shady amber with creamy off-white head. Earthy, somewhat unclean malt base with some tropical fruit hop aroma, I would not have guessed on Nelson Sauvin. Medium bodied and smooth. Fairly dry with a bit metallic bitterness.
