Now before you open Cat Piss get your glass ready and near a sink. This is the worst beer I’ve ever seen when it comes to pouring. Even when you pour a little bit into the glass it quickly rises and overflows the glass. Tons of frothy head. Tons of lacing and great retention. It pours a glowing amber color.
The smell is not as much cat piss as I would of liked honestly. I was hoping for a funky ass aroma but didn’t get it. Instead it’s mostly citrus with a nice earthy malty character. Spicy in a way.
Was looking to be overwhelmed with the taste like I was with Alpine Nelson but wasn’t. Instead it’s a nice decent IPA. Once again the citrus comes out with other tropical fruit hoppy flavors. People state they get a berry like taste here too. I didn’t get that. If you look up some sites they say the hop itself gives off a taste and aroma of freshly crushed Gooseberries. Like I said didn’t get that. The beer rounds out with a sweet floral taste mixed in with the earthiness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied. A nice slight bitterness to it. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 21, 2012
