markas101 (2455) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JAN 15, 2011
33 cl bottle, Copenhagen, Denmark. Dense opaque apricot colour, peach and apple aroma with a mildly astringent note. Less dense on the palette than expected, dry with a very long finish that transitions from resin to pepper over its lengthy duration.

Sweet, sweet jammy nose. Strawberries and rhubarb. Nelson Sauvin notes all over this brew. Some toasty pepper notes, too. Surprisingly dry flavour - very satisfying. Not cloying and heavy on the tongue, as the nose would suggest. Nice malty - even some smokiness - aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2014 Pours unclear amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is hoppy with pine, citrus, herbs and some sweet notes aswell. Taste gives you the stuff from the aroma along with some more grassy notes, some caramel, and a bit grapefruit - you can feel that this is dry hopped at the end.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a dirty dark orange colour with a creamy white head. Good retention. Aroma of strong mango, syrup and raw hops. Flavour of good floral hops, sweet tropical fruits and caramel malts. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a pleasant fruity finish. Good.

Bottle… Murky caramel ale with a huge, frothy, white head that never fully dissipates. The aroma is a blend of earthy hops and caramel malt. The hops are surprisingly subdued here; possibly diminished. Full-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and jazzy carbonation. The flavor presents biscuit and cookie malts with a zippy hop twinge. Short, crisp, snappy hop finish. When fresh, this was probably a more aggressively bitter beer. However, being a malt guy, I’m enjoying it just fine right now. Thanks to plovmand for hooking me up with this!
