330ml bottle. A good one to have in the middle of the day if you are a monk and can afford to sit down and relax for the rest of the day!

12oz (35.5cl) bottle at Delirium Cafe, Amsterdam on 08-Jul-2016. Black in colour with a medium sized orange-brown head which dissipates quickly. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Full body and soft/medium carbonation. Big chocolate malt notes - bitter cocoa, caramel, dark fruit and alcohol. Rich, slightly sticky but smooth. Pretty good.

Pitch black. Roasted coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, some herb aromas. Taste is sweet, slight spices, finish ends it with bitter dark malts and dark chocolate. Price tag makes this one a really solid Imperial Stout.

330mL bottle from Beer Cartel. Thick, pitch black sump oil liquid with a creamy orange-brown head hanging around. Nose is quite intense - coffee, dark bitter chocolate, orangey piney earthy sort of hops, charred nutty sort of malt. Body is slick, rich yet holds its weight very well - doesn’t feel 10%! - very long on the finish, sticky. Oozy body - inky sort of dark fruits beneath layers of dark roasty coffee, bitter cocoa, burnt caramels, charred ends. A formidable brew - very smooth, perhaps not as big as I was expecting to be a bit picky - it’s damn good overall.

From a bottle. Some slight rum & raisin flavours going on, thick and dark, liked it a lot.

Tap. Fajny aromat palony i kawowy, lekko czuć toffee. Smak słodki, lekko wytrawny. W smaku kawa, gorzka czekolada, toffee. Fajna gesta faktura. Niestety po ogrzaniu wychodzi trochę alkoholu w charakterze spirytusowym.

liked this less than other stouts from this brewer - great complicated nose - roasted stuff, baker chocolate, and fudge! taste didn’t all come quite together..

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2016 Bottle shared by Mart. Black beer, tan head. Nose is roasty, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice. Flavor is soy, licorice, coffee, bready and leathery notes. Savory finish, more soy, coffee, roast and licorice, some hop notes. Hides the booze nicely.
