Pretty black. Thick light brown head. The aroma is rich, raisiny, burnt fruitcake, little bit of dark chocolate. Thick body, with a lot of dark malt fruitiness, dark chocolate. Moderate bitterness for style - it’s quite balanced. Finishes sweet and fruity, with just a touch of alcohol. Kind of imperial stout that does a lot right, doesn’t blow my mind on any one aspect.

Zlotta (3808) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JAN 5, 2017
Sampled from tap at ’Craft Beer Corner’. Pitch black with a light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, nougat, milk coffee and hazelnut. Rather sweet, malty and slightly roasty taste of milk chocolate, praline, hazelnut, lots of coffee and some hazelnut, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good stuff!

Faathoven (105) - Barcellona P.G., ITALY - DEC 30, 2016
Pours black as night with a thin khaki brown head. Aroma is deep dark chocolate, roasted malts, burnt sugar, fudge and a slight vanilla note. Flavour is quite the same with a roasted presence lingering till the end and a huge fudgy character. A bit sour note as it warms, given by the roasted malts. Not so boozy and impressive for that. Finish is bitter chocolate. Full body and creamy mouthfeel with low carbonation. Nice overall.

3.8
