Dark brown color, small brown head. Dark malty, a bit vegetably, coffee beans in the aroma. Full-bodied. Very carbonated. Dark malts, dark chocolate, nice hoppyness. Tasty, tasty stout with way too much CO2.
UPDATED: DEC 19, 2010 33cl, new exclusive Danish brewery Anno 2010, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex Stout, heavy, yet very balanced, hazy, rocky head, very good X-Mas brew, yet expensive beerisgoodforu (992) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2010
Bottle. Pours a pitch black color with a hughe frothy tan head. Really impressive considering it is a 10,5 ABV beer! The aroma is of roasted malts, dark liqourice, coffee, slight amount of hops and some chocolate. Flavor is of the roasted malt and some faint bitterness from the hops. I also get some dark liqourice, dark fruit like raisins and some roasted coffee bean notes, also some dark chocolate and charcoal. Overall a really nice christmas Imp Stout that if fairly sweet. Bottle at The Cad’s Pure Mad Rocket Mon The Beezer Tasting. Deep black-brown pour with a huge - HUGE - tan head. Dark malt nose with light chocolate, oxidation, and roast. A touch of fruits in the flavor, with sweet, mild mocha. Body is medium to full with tingly, strong carbonation and good warmth. Dark fruit, dark malt finish wth some alcohol sting. Quite dry and roasty. Very good, and improved as I drank it. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2010

Black with a really good tan head. Looks just the ticket. Wow, this is good stuff. Big black malty stuff with a truck load of bitter dark chocolate and coffee. Not a great deal else going on to be honest but it’s really not a problem. I’m really enjoying this. Easy drinking, big flavour. Very good stuff.
My kind of x-max brew. Very well balanced body. Not to sweet, complex and with a warming alcohol without overdooing it. charlotte (5347) - rødovre, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2010
Bottle.Pitch black colour with large beige head.Aroma is roasted with flavor of chocolate and earth nice warming with coffee flavor and good full body. lassem (652) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2010
Bottle from Ølbutikken. A deep dark brown pour with a nice frothy dark head. The nose is fresh with notes of coffee, caramelmalts, licorice and cloves. I also find some citric notes in the aroma along with a mild smokyness. The taste is first of all pretty bitter but develops into a nice coffee blends with both chocolate and caramel notes - but with the bitterness consantly present. The mouthfeel is medium creamy with a bitter finish - a finish where you really can sense the alcohols biting ipact on your lipps and tounge. flemmingwillum (1198) - Nysted, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2010
Rating #454, bottle from Ølbutikken jesperhammer (4723) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 20, 2010
A black beer with an ok head. The aroma is liquorice, chocolate, salt, sal ammoniac and surprisingly also a bit of berries. Flavor of chocolate, salt, sal ammoniac, liquorice, bitter hops and the alcohol is more obvious than expected, but it still very nice. This is definately a great brew, but I would have wanted a more rounded palate, as this can seem a little "hard".
20-NOV-2010, bottle @home, from "Ølbutikken".
Dark brown with huge head of big bubbles that quickly disappears.
Lovely roasted nose with chocolate and sweet coffee.
Taste is dry with loads of roasted stuff.
A burning sensation much like chili ends the whole thing. Is that really the alcohol kicking in so late? I did not noctice it before, but I can see it is 10,5%...!
Not so imperial stout like more like an imperial porter?
No X-mas in this one, but I really prefer this to a "normal" X-mas brew.
