Pours hazy deep orange with 3-finger well retained off-white head. Nose is black pepper, tangerine, pineapple, mango, perfumy florals, strawberry; again a very complex nose that it a joy to inhale. The taste is malty, with definite chardonnay notes that integrate well, big florals, black pepper, tangerine, and resiny hops. The flavor is very complex, with huge assertive hops, tropical fruit, black pepper, and a very nice hybrid style that works extremely well, and I can’t believe someone hasn’t thought of this before. I may have a new favorite brewer if this keeps up. Yet another astoundingly good beer from Evil Twin. Forsberg_dk (258) - DENMARK - APR 30, 2011
33 cl bottle, pours dark amber with a nice big head, aroma with notes of malt, floral hops, pine and fruit, taste is sweeter then expected with notes of caramel, pine and fruit, ok bitterness, decent finish, solid overall beer. cgarvieuk (25686) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 29, 2011

Bottle. Hazy mud brown/orange body with a huge offwhite head. Aroma is sweet, hops, light malt and fruit, I didn’t get the chardonnay in the aroma. Flavor is fruity hops, caramel, malt. The chardonnay comes thru pretty clear in the flavor. Alcohol is well hidden. Nice lacings. Great beer. FatPhil (16893) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 28, 2011

7 Huge melony and mandarin aroma.
3 Mid orange.
6 Bright hoppy taste, which is a pick-up at first, but I believe in any quantity would get oppressive.
4 Full, but refreshing, palate. Carbonation low. Finish fruity and quite bitter.
12 Well, I’ve never been a fan of either so-called IIPAs or of white wine, so this was always going to struggle. But in small quantities it was pretty OK.
Rerate: 330ml bottle (Pudel, Tallinn) (6:3:6:3:13=3.1)
Very malty mashy aroma, sweet and sticky, almost raw. Some tutti fruity sherbetty sweeties. Nice re, but hard to pour, as it’s massively over-carbonated. Sweet and mashy. Finish is so sweet, later some cardboard. As it warms, I get some cakiness, chocolate. Underfermented. But not bad. Only covers the alcoholby smothering it with a ton of sugar.
Bottle. Tan brown. Really thick head. Smells of grass, hay and champagne thats dry. Taste is the same with hibiscus and ginger added. Abv is well hidden. Really good thewolf (12742) - Kolding, DENMARK - APR 22, 2011

Gusher. Deep brownish red colour with a big, bubbly, white head. Disappears in large banging bubbles. Lovely hoppy aroma, grapefruit, apricot, resin, pine, some grapes and a bit of oak to boot. Highish carbonation, dry and creamy mouthfeel. Though still a bit light. Flavour is elegant. Grapes are apparent behind good grapefruity hops. Quite bitter and fairly vinious. A really nice beer, actually.
Hazy brown look with a thick foamy light brown head. Powerfull citrus and grape hop aroma. Flavor is high in the bitterness area, with a nice fruity citrus sweetness leading to a dru finish. Great jesperhammer (4874) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 19, 2011
16-APR-2011, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer".
Pours out of the bottle on opening. An IIPA that is bottle conditioned???
In the glass it is 5/6 fluffy white head that lasts a long time and 1/6 almost brown body.
Nose is extremely bitter with grape fruit and piney stuff. Taste is more the same with a malty addition that I like.
Chardonnay? Perhaps. At least there is a winelike aftertaste that is extremely bitter.
Fantastic brew. oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 14, 2011
, Helsinki. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, fruits, wood, some earth and mild spicyneess. Flavour is herbal, sweet malty along with fruits, wood and some mild resiny notes.
