Pours brown with almost no head. Aromas of dark malt, English toffee and dried fruit. Same aromas in the mouth, together with some barnyard funkiness and sour fun. Some brown banana notes. Nice balancing sourness on the tail end. Delish - would be even better with a bit more concentration.

"Doesn’t resemble the base beer (Monks Suffers...) at all, and this one is better.seems like a wild ale because, well, what is a wild ale but a sour version of some other style. This one is sour all the way. Wine line from the cab barreling, lots of critters. Couldn’t tell what the base was. Dark sour fruit was pretty much it. Fairly simple but very tasty. 11.2oz bottle at Maxs. Unfiltered thick brown body. Thin, oily head. Odd aroma, I don’t know what to make of. Choco-biscotti, with fruit cake? Comes across as a tweaked out Brown Ale. Sweet creamy almond cream notes. Rummy dark brown malt. Very unique, like a wine tinged Belgian Schwarzbier(!). Has those brown chocolate tones reminiscent of Eastern Europe. Sweet brown sugar notes. Bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a creamy head quickly receding. Aroma is sweet with fruity yeast, as well as roasted malts with muscovado, raisins, balsamic vinegar, and vinous oak barrels and tannins. Medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. Flavour is tart and yeasty, with oak and berries, as well as dark fruits, oak barrels, vanilla and balsamic vinegar giving a lingering tart finish.

11.2oz bottle, thanks to Jtclockwork for sharing at RBSG hotel tasting. Hazy dark red color. Lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Minimal off-white head Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Drier finish. Good dark fruit. Oak flavor Light spicy. Moderate tart taste. Light sweet. Solid stuff. Good tannic, mild vanilla. Sold stuff. For some reason, all of Evil Twin’s beers seem like they should be super epic.... What, with the reputation that us beer geeks know... and the thing with the triangles on the label (nature’s strongest shape blah blah blah). and an epic name like epilogue... I feel like I’m watching a trailer for the best beer documentary ever. But overall, being as honest as I can with and honest buzz.. This is a solid wine-barrel aged american strong. Bottled @ Pours hazy deep amber with a small, beige head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit, yeast, brown sugar and red grapes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and slightly bitter.
