COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all – it must taste rare!

Pours an inky black with a rich, thick head. Aroma is mild, of chocolate and roast. Taste is dark chocolate to roast with a hint of vanilla. Very warming aftertaste that lingers with a touch of bourbon. An elite stout that just delivers.

Black with medium brown head. Aroma is coffee, slight fish, dark chocolate, molasses, burnt sugar, something like figs or dates. Taste is sweet chocolate with a nice balanced coffee bitterness counterpoint, quite some umami. Intense roasty finish. A bit phenolic. Very nice.

You know that scene in trainspotting when he’s sinking into the bed, blankets rising up, engulfing him. Yep. That’s this beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,473l can from Beergium. Pours black color, oily texture, with heavy medium head. Aroma of sweetness, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, licorice, dark fruits, somewhat roasted malts. Medium to thick body, creamy feeling, rich sweet taste, roasted and burnt malts come through more here with heavish bitterness, slight alcohol there as well, but it is mostly hidden by the bitterness and malts.Overall a strong and heavy performance.

Original rating : transformed to a tick in the new Ratebeer era, aka caught my attention. ZEBF13 pours black, no foam. smells sweet. sharp carbo. bitter, nice... Re-rate, not from a specific moment. We had it a few times on tap at beerlovers bar. I didn't re-take notes at these occasions, but the beer generally is a good stout to me, without anything really 'extra' to make it specifically interesting. Nice go-to Impy !

Not alot going on Aroma-vise, no unpleasantness and I'm generally not a big fan of the smell of beer. Pitch black with a almost none existing dark coffee brown head. Sweet and dark taste oily creamy amazing.

I'm surprised I haven't had this yet. It's damn good. Aromas of soy, booze, bread, cocoa powder. Very thick and rich. Roasty and slightly sweet.
