First time having the base stout of so many other beers I’ve already rated. Bomber enjoyed solo at 50 Degrees F in a stemmed glass.
totally oily pitch black in the glass. a 3 finger amaretto colored head formed and faded to a thin line of espresso crema. A roast bomb with sweetened milk, tootsie roll and worthers butter candies. Oily mouthfeel and a total booze bomb. You taste every single aspect of the 12% alcohol with sharp grain alcohol finish and burnt day-old coffee in the middle to finish. up front, there is this chocolate milk candy sweetness that quickly fades to the ashy burnt coffee taste. Most of the variants have been great but this isn’t working for me. Johnstledger8 (1331) - Dublin, IRELAND - DEC 27, 2015
Bottle. Pitch black with a mostly lasting foamy dark brown head. Aroma is of chocolate, fudge, coffee, dark fruits, liquorice. Taste is of liquorice, dark chocolate, caramel, biscuits, dark fruits, black currant, hint of alcohol on the finish. Sticky, chewy oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Lovely. Bomber from Benz. Oily black, thin brown head. Lots of chocolate, wood, carmel and a touch of anise, all wrapped up in a sherry-like sweetness. Alcohol is there, but not too much for as big as this beer is. rumproasts (6035) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 22, 2015
Tap. Black with minimal head. Smoky and complex with loads of chocolate. Underlying tobacco. Very smooth despite the ABV. monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 18, 2015
A very nice creamy imperial stout. Pours a super thick, deep black with a brown head. Smells of chocolate cake, vanilla, coffee and weirdly, chilies. Taste is amazingly creamy with maybe the most chocolate we have tasted in a beer. Very much chocolate fudge cake with creamy icing on the top. Had in the bottle.

Aromas of roasted malt, campfire ash, pronounced plum juice, fig juice, raisin, chocolate, port, coco, vanilla and maple syrup. Pours pitch black with a thin layer of brown foam on the top. Taste brings huge roast qualities accompanied by thick dark chocolate, black licorice, raisin, complex dark malts, toffee, sugared caramel, sugary chocolate, campfire ash, tobacco smoke and harsh earthy, muddy malt notes. Finishes surprisingly smooth with a residual muddy, dry chocolate covered raisin note. Overall, very interesting imperial stout with the best of both worlds, super roast forward as well as super dark fruit forward. A rating. rosskyle (769) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 5, 2015
22oz bottle. Dark black color with a thick brown head. Tobacco Chocolate toffee burnt cherry aroma. Smokey tobacco malt coffee flavor. Sticky heavy body. It's like drinking a delicious cigar.

tap - Pours black with minimal head. The aroma is of dark roast malt, chocolate, alcohol, and soy sauce. It has a big roast malt flavor with chocolate, licorice, and alcohol. There’s a viscous, very full body. Tasty.
