Few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all it must taste rare!

Big can poured briskly into an oversized glass. Pours pitch black with a monster dark tan head. As the head settles, lacing clings to glass. Aroma is dark chocolate-covered cherries, Fresh roast coffee and hazelnuts. Flavor is molasses, espresso, dark brown sugar, figs, dates, bakers chocolate and smoky wood, followed by a mellowing booze warmth. A rich, creamy, luscious imperial stout, and one without the cigarette ash flavors that sometimes accompany this style.

Pour was motor oil into a sniffer with little head. Very roasty, coffee, and dark chocolate up front which becomes sweet before it finishes with a little burn. Solid imperial stout

Pours completely black with a very fine sheet of mocca-coloured foam. Aroma is very intense, full of treacle and toffee, dark malts and hints of berries, herbs and hops. Also a bit boozy. Mouthfeel is dominated by almost no carbonation and an oily, smooth and thick feel to the beer. Flavour is also very intense: very heavy and intense dark malts, treacle and toffee again, extremely sweet, a little spicy, boozy, interesting herbal and maybe a bit peppery finish, also sweet and very caramelly. Beautiful impy if extremely sweet - reminded me of to ls god yul.

Nalewa się czarne, nieprzejrzyste, jak smoła. Piana drobna, beżowa, utrzymuje się mała warstewka podczas picia. W aromacie czuć szlachetny alkohol, paloność, kawę i czekoladki. W smaku pierwsze co można odczuć to spore ciało, oleistość. Przyjemnie ułożony alkohol szybko rozgrzewa. Szybko się pije, bardzo przyjemne piwo.

1 pint can, Bach #011. Pours black and thick with a two-finger dark brown head. Smells like a fuckin black marker tbh; hella boozy and sweet (choc fudge) with a touch of smoky, burnt malt. Full-bodied like youd expect from the sludgy pour; low carb and finishes dry with some boozy heat (its fuckin 12% after all). Flavors starts off with semi-sweet milk chocolate and develops into an extra dark chocolate half way thru. Tons of dried fruits & brown sugar sweetness in the middle to help balance with the chocolate bitterness. Ends smoky with roasted malts and booze but still has a lot of the dark chocolates peaking out. This brew is just intense...I dont think the flavors are off-balancedjust intense! Imagine Founders IS or Bells Expedition with a bump in ABV & body. Its a triple fudge chocolate cake with cherry syrup on top!

A hint of chocolate, Cold pour though so that threw it. Dark black, minimal tan head. Oily thick with hints of cedar, chocolate with vanilla and sweet molasses.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours pitch black worth limited brownish foam. Aroma is "wow": toffee, caramel, coffee, licorice, hazelnut, and probably much more. Body is dense and sticky, plus some enjoyable carbonation. Even a bit of astringency. Taste is equally nice: some marked sweetness, soon equaled by some bitterness. Finish is long and keeping that nice mix of sweetness and bitterness.

Huge malt hitter with a well-hidden massive ABV. Evil Twin just gets it done! There is no doubt they have become the go-to for huge ass stouts. Serving: out of a damn pint can!
