COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all – it must taste rare!

from Erzbierschof - black beer with a poor head retention; very roasted almost smokey aroma with notes of ashes; coffee and black chocolate, pretty nutty; full-bodied, some moderate sweetness followed by a robust bitterness; pretty velvety palate; very long hoppy and coffeish aftertaste, bitter and slightly salty with notes of pepper and walnuts - great stuff !

Can, thanks MarcodL! Black. Roast and ash in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweet flavor, alcoholic, ash, roast, licorice, laurel and tar. Dry finish. Overwhelming.

Smoliście czarne, ładna brązowa piana. W aromacie dominuje kawa i gorzka czekolada. Smak to przede wszystkim świetna gorzka czekolada wspierana nutami kawowymi. Piwo grzeje w przełyk, alkohol jest nieźle ukryty, aczkolwiek wyczuwalny.

Canned condition. Pours jet black with 1 finger dark tan to brown head, glorious looking stuff. Aroma is as rich as it looks with roasted nuts and malt, paired with cocoa fragrance makes for a boozie brownie like nose. Taste is dark chocolate and coffee as expected, a little burnt toast which hampers with the flavour so slightly before the chocolatey aftertaste arrives. Finish brings a boozy warmth, maybe on the very edge of excess. Silky, mouthfeel with low carbonation keeps incentives high and yields a medium to full body. Pint can will undoubtedly lead you on a trip to the bin.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2017 Pours dark and rich with a hefty foam collar out of a can. the smell is rich with notes of dark chocolate and hops. the taste is rich and complex as well. sweet bitter chocolate tones with a sharp alcohol taste. the taste is full and round. smooth dark chocolate aftertaste with subtle notes of coffee. sweetness is balanced. not full stats due to too sharp an alcohol taste. a great beer.

Color negro con capa de espuma marrón de tres dedos de grosor (cremosa y de buena retención). Carbonatación mínima. Textura oleosa casi cremosa. Aroma a malta torrefacta, chocolate, bastante alcohol.

Can from Chmiel - Świat Piwa. Aroma: Not too intensive, alcoholic, chocolate, soy sauce. Appearance: Pours black with nice head. Taste: Chocolate, booze, roast, soy sauce, medium bitterness, high body, though lowered by the alcoholic feeling. Palate: High body, low carbonation, semi-sweet finish.

Pint can from VE. Nose is sweet with molasses, heavy red berry, heavy plum, some mild fumes from the alcohol, faint peach, touch of whiskey lactone if my senses aren't deceiving me. Pour is motor oil with a large dark brown head. Taste medium-strong sweet, very strong syrupy alcohol that doesn't immediately burn but does kick like a recently-brushed mule; much more chocolate and even some coffee in the mouth, hint of vanilla, some cloying fruit marmalade; fusels do start to singe and work like paint thinner with just a little volume. Oaty sort of smooth-and-oily feel with grain and medium bitterness in the aftertaste. Plum and a touch of smoke. Oily, dripping full body but not fat or obese, does have a touch of whiskey and maybe even barrel character, though I may just be associating; touch of thin fudge. Strong and clean but I sort of wish they'd have kept it at a more concentrated 9-10% for an improved overall impression. [2017.09.03: 3.7]

Barwa czarny asfalt, piana beżowa, mała. Aromat raczej delikatny. Jest gorzka czekolada, paloność, delikatny alkohol. W smaku czekolada, trochę kwaśna kawa i palona goryczka. Fajnie zbalansowane. Pifko jest ciężkie, wyklejające. Alko delikatnie wyczuwalne. Porządne, degustacyjne pifko.
