Bottle shared by Bruce. This was stellar. Aroma of Evil Twin stout licorice, prunes, dark chocolate, and cappuccino with vanilla and oak poking through. Pours thick and black with a small brown head and beautiful wispy film. Taste is dark fruits, chocolate, vanilla, oak, cappuccino, and slight licorice. Just a wonderful complex stout with the perfect amount of barrel aging. This is a world class beer. jesperhammer (4735) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2016

Black with a lasting tan head. Aroma is mostly Bourbon. Taste is much more complex with Bourbon, Chocolate, Vanilla, cacao. Roasted - hard but not burnt. Soft carbonation, long bitter finish. Fantastic. superspak (5587) - Michigan, USA - JUL 26, 2014
22 ounce bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, dark fudge, vanilla, toast, toffee, molasses, bourbon, oak, nuttiness, light dark fruits, and roast/oak earthiness. Incredible aromas with awesome complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt, coffee, and bourbon barrel flavors; with good strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, dark fudge, molasses, vanilla, toast, toffee, bourbon, oak, nuttiness, light dark fruit, and roast/oak earthiness. Slight roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, dark fudge, vanilla, toast, toffee, molasses, bourbon, oak, nuttiness, light dark fruit, and roast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Absolutely insane complexity and perfect balance of dark/roasted malt, coffee, and bourbon barrel flavors; with a nice roast bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and very full bodied; with a very creamy, slick, smooth, and luscious mouthfeel that is insane. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an absolutely world class barrel aged imperial coffee stout. All around insane complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt, coffee, and bourbon barrel flavors; and extremely smooth to sip on for the big ABV. An absolutely sublime offering. 22 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Jet black with half a finger of tan head. Aromas of sweet bourbon, dark chocolate, caramel, cookie bits, vanilla. Tastes of sweet bourbon, bits of dark fruit, dark chocolate, roast, caramel, a bit of oak. Full body with a dry finish. Thick, oily mouthfeel. Medium-low carbonation. Tasty, the barrel aging really changes up the base beer. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 23, 2013
Damn this is the shit! Dark brown pour, brown head. Bourbon and brownies. Just fudgy and flat out freaking delicious. Wow.

Great pour - little thick with a light brown foam. Nose is even better - chocolate, a bit of bourbon, mocha. Taste is fantastic. Rich and thick, the alcohol is masked well and the chocolate, vanilla, cookie dough flavors are delicious. One of the best beers I had in 2013. maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JAN 17, 2014
Bottle at Bruce’s pad cheers to the man himself for this spectacular gem of a beer. Pours black with a rich and sticky tan head leaving plenty of legs. Nose absolutely jumps out at you to smack you around a little and everyone likes getting a little dirty every now and then - me more often than not. Very sweet vanilla, so silky smooth and appealing, nice balanced bourbon spice, chocolate mud cake almost fudge like it’s that chewy to the nose. Coconut is there but generally hidden behind red berries and sticky dates. Sweet and juicy dark fruits at the fore which work a treat. Taste moulds together all these wonderful notes flawlessly. Ashy smoke plays around the salted caramel and dark chocolate. Coconut comes around but never overpowers like in some Bourbon BA stouts. Loads of dark fruits and fudge like stickiness. Quite sweet and decadent but the barrels balance it out effortlessly. A nice kick of enjoyable and pleasing heat. Absolutely sensational Bule (2161) - California, USA - MAY 17, 2014
22oz bottle pours a thick black color with a bit if fine brown head. Lots of fine bubbles coming to the top. Mild bourbon aroma and flavor. Viscous. Bit of vanilla. Mild bitterness at the end.

Wow, pretty incredible stuff. Black pour, thick brown head. Huge chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon on the nose. Taste is big vanilla and doughy chocolate cookie. So smooth, thick mouthfeel. Marheb (5750) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 5, 2014
Une marre chocolatée, caramélisée qui respire le bourbon chaud tranchant mais sans frayeur tannique. Le liquide est tapisse, sans surprise, comme la régulière, à peine aminci par le vieillissement.
