The Roman Empire had a certain je ne sais quoi festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen thats still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

650ml bottle, leftover from brother last night session. Aroma: great coffee beans blended with chocolate notes, alcohol spiciness. Subtle vanilla notes. App: pitch black, medium brown frothy head, great retention and thick lacing... Even one day after being opened. Impressive. Taste and palate: full body, creamy, soft carbonation, medium sweetness, light bitter and alcohol finish. Overall: what a nice surprise for a big that opened about 15-20 hrs ago. So creamy. Great nose and taste. Wow! Not too sweet and not to bitter. Just wished I could have drank it yesterday night with my brother to fully appreciate it as it was meant to be. A great imperial stout with not much flaws.

Being a big fan of stouts I am never disappointed with Evil Twins generous lineup of stouts. In this case with Imperial Biscotti it is .very unique with a smooth nutty and creamy flavor that is complimented by a subtle coffe roastiness and chocolate backbone. Dark as ink and full bodied. The only criticism may be the quick disappearing act of the lush brown head.
